- Some people may have suggested that the waterchute at wicksteed park may actually be a death-trap. This is not necessarily my opinion, I only worked on the thing, but some people may have suggested it....
- Kettering has a strange, other-worldly, olden days ambience to it, something you can't quite put your finger on. There's a strangeness to the town, a sense of unresolved history, a ghostliness, even. It's apparent in the old crumbling buildings, but more in some of the wierd, witch-like faces you sometimes see on the streets. Time and again I've been unnerved by strange looks in peoples' eyes, as if I've been transported sideways in time to a land of restless souls...Anyone know what I mean? You start to wonder, what went on here centuries ago? It spooks me out a little, and I begin to feel that Kettering might have some heavy history which still creeps up from the soil and affects the land and the good folk who live here..? All I can say is that there's something "unresolved" or unforgiven about this town, I just feel it slightly.

- Kettering folk tend to be scared of their Corby neighbours.
- The swimming pool water turns purple if you pee in it.
