If you're going to join a site, make sure it's a good one like www.intheknow.org.uk To many sites are either just in it for the money or they are free and don't care who joins as long as they have loads of members. Kettering Dodgeball League meets on Wednesdays at 7:15pm until 8:30pm, at William Knibb Centre's Upstairs Gym. You don't need a full team of 6, you can join in with whoever's there and have a blast.
