• Medis is a great value for money restaurant and the atmosphere is great enhanced by the wonderful music! It is far from rowdy at the weekend as another user has said, i had a superb meal with great company, really recommended!
• loads of takeways popular takeway resturants on station hill and mill street, captain cods has won awards 4 best chippy in england. not all takeaways r safe u cud b eatin dog.
• For indian food - DO NOT go to the new sheer-e-punjab on george street. Unless you like foul tasting crap in a tray, rank!!
• King Wah is the best
• Pizza Hut has opened on the new complex "Weavers Wharf", you can get to it through the town centre. There is this fantastic Pizza place called "Polo" opposite the Seven Stars, you can get two decent 9" Pizza's for £3.50 plus the staff are all completely crazy.
• Habberley Fish Bar, great curry and chips

• Captain Cods and Aitches are the best places to go for fish n chips- avoid Station Fish Bar unless in extreme cases like u prefer dry nasty, uncooked chips!
• Macdonalds Driv Thru where i work is a fuckin shit hole. They have no room in the fuckin car park where i can park my beasty car. (baige volkswagon polo - reg D*** BFO) yeah the fuckin shed car of kiddy.!i am off to get me head kicked in at the army in a couple of weeks so i probably wont c this web site again!
• Boy Racers often head down to Maccy D's Drive Thru and chill there for hours while some of us have to work in there. Population = 100 16 year olds.
• Medis is cracking Italian and not really that pricy but gets rowdy on weekend Captain Cods serve best chip buttys in Midlands but avoid Station Fish Bar (Station Hill) and thier dryed-up offerings. Aitch's Chippy cheap & cheerful: the only chippy in a lean-to! The Granary for Sunday roast-type stuff. Worth the drive.
• Probably the best place for a lunchtime meal is either the Tap House or the newly opened Yates' Wine bar, both do a wonderful selection of food. Yates' generally has a better atmosphere though.
• blackwells,the red man(exellent pub grub), briars,the land oak,the granery,sher-e-punjab,the farmers boy.
