Cinemas
- The J & A cinema in the Townie..watched a double bill of Spiderman and Cactus Jack back in 1983
- Mansfield for nearest, although anyone travelling through Kirkby would think we have one as the old signs on the old cinema are still up and portraying that we have a working cinema
- no way go the the showcase on east lancs road
- The 10 screen cinema had just opened when I lived in Kirkby,,,, it was great, no more trekking to Liverpool to the odeon, although now I couldnt get my kebab !!!!!!!!
- Best bet is either the Showcase in Fazakerly (ice junkies are well fit), or the Odean on switch island (seats are well comfier)
- used to be a good one in the towny i saw grease there "YEARS AGO!"
- No cinema now, but I remember one Saturday being in the one above Woolco or whatever it was in the townie and some little scally running up the slope to he screen, jumping and slashing it before disappearing back into the darkness.
- There's one in Maghull as well.
- NONE - Go to the showcase in Croxteth!!! 10 screens!
