- As a Kirkby ex pat (who had the sense to get out) I have seen so many changes since I left. It's getting worse as time goes on. It's nice to visit but I wouldn't live there again.
- kirkby is mentioned quiet a few times in a book called 'outlaws' by kevin sampson which is based in liverpool.

- everyone there should be given a holiday some where nice!... a different way of life so they can look back in tere kirkby window to see what needs to be fixed when they get back! thats if they go back at all!
- The qulaity of graffiti had gone down recently, since Kirkby's graffiti was seatured in an Observer colour supplement in the late 70s/early 80s (DEAN). But there are still some fading examples of the classic form. KIRKBY AXE MEN near the motorway to encourage passing tourists springs to mind.
- Best karreeoke singer.... yes u guessed it.
- The Liverpool football academy. QVC. The regeneration of Kirkby. Sports facilities. It's thriving secert, underground scouting community. The fields and woodlands.
- QVC headquarters is there!!!
For an area with a 30% unemployment rate, it is amazing how many people are weighed down with gold jewellery, and can all afford to drink themselves sensless every night!!!
