• If it weren't for the students, the locals, the farms, the University, the sheep, and the location, I'm sure Lampeter would be a nice place.

• The best place to go partying in Lampeter is THE OLD QUARRY, just off North Road. Disco's every night with loads of beer promos... and there's this really sexy barman who works there called Dave Gibbs!
• I'm staying in Lampeter over the summer on a Welsh course and I have to say that this place really sucks. There is nothing to do here... nothing. The Uni is just about closed so the only thing to keep you company is the odd stray sheep (or is that a local). The pubs are crap, where are the nightclubs... what is there to do? In the evenings there are loads of local kids hanging on street corners looking bored and pissed off. I don't blame them.
• "Goth Corner" in the S.U. bar near the doors was the coolest spot in town. Me and my mates all used to meet up there. Long live Goth Corner.
• The best thing about Lampeter was the atmosphere. You have to make up your own entertainment unless you fancy driving to Aber. or Carmarthen and because of the closed in nature of the place everyone became incredibly close. Graduates of other universities find it amazing that I'm still in touch with so many of my old friends, but that's just Lampeter.
• The worst thing was Sunday afternoons. (Especially as the Freshers headed off home to mummy in their droves and most places were shut.) There used to be a bar quiz at lunchtime in the SU bar, but after that the only thing worth doing was trekking up to the Quarry for a few beers and a game of pool.
• Dave Gibb is not sexy. Everyone hangs round in Hartford square drinking special brew everybody has worked in organic farm foods at least once the only people to read this page would be those who have already been to Lampeter the town is divided in to two class those who can afford to shop in Pioneer and those who can not be bothered to walk that far and go to KwikSave. I thank you.
