There used to be a couple with the surname clear. Mr Clear was the Caretaker for Latchingdon Village Hall, unfortunatly he passed away. I'm not sure if his wife still lives in Latchingdon.

I'm not going to be much help but I just wanted to say that I am looking for my father's family history-Walter James Clear and I don't know much at all. He was born in Bethnal green but spent a lot of his life in Gravesend-working on the river. I know he had at least one brother-Charlie and may have had more siblings. If anything rings a bell let me know!! Thanks

    Hi
    thanks for your message
think there may be a link - I had an uncle Charlie who lived in Latchingdon, Essex - he would have born approx 1890 - he had a brother who worked on the Thames, but I'm not sure where.
    hope this might help
    best regards
    Terry

While there he would go into London on his leaves and there he met a love. Her name was possibly Emma, we are not quite sure on this but can only hope that son was told of his father and give... more >>

    Hi Sid,
I Realise your original message was some time ago. But just wondering apart from Annie Gyte, have you come across any of the Mosleys and tomlinsons in your search as I have annie listed in mine and can trace her back together with a great many of her other descendant and ancestors.
