Arts, crafts and such
  • Hatton Craft Centre nearby.
  • Blackies is probably the best stocked art supply store around and if you are lucky, scruffy and regular enough, you may be treated to a lifelong 10% discount.
  • blackies
  • Blackies is fine for someone needing some art materials, the best you'll get around i think.
  • The one in Leamigton Library and da 1 in Warick Market Place Museum fing.
  • Womens art group at Bath place community venture - its free and fun
  • The Community Arts Workshop - the old gallery on Avenue Road - totally worth a visit.
  • Naked Flame
  • Blackies for giving student discount (hurrah!) and The Works for cheap bits and bobs.
  • hmmm... theres the pump rooms art gallery. and my friends mums art show tends to be rather good.
  • There is a good Art gallery and an excellent library. Although I have never used either, because I am not an intellectual person. Infact I am rather stupid.
  • Way too many crappy gift shops. Proof that the large middle class contigent have little taste. There are various community workshops in progress.
  • Blackies for arts and crafts since 1975 (regent st) Lemington Hobby Centre for big boys toys since 1972 (regent st)
  • Mystique is a sort of 'Hippy' shop that sells stuff like incense and that. Full of freaks.
  • Downstairs in Gaia, just off Bath street. Local hippy art type stuff.
  • Leamington Peace Festival - and the last time it clashed with Glastonbury was over eight years ago - where have you been? It's traditionally the nearest weekend to the summer solstice, UNLESS that clashes with Glastonbury, then it's the one before Glastonbury. 'Cause all the stall-holders like to do both.
  • The art gallery's in the old swimming baths in the Pump Rooms, where many of us learnt to swim! Kind of scary. The Peace Festival's normally on the same weekend as Glastonbury (what's that?)
  • There's a series of craft fairs coming up in the Royal Pump Rooms - they still could handle more stallholders - check out www.leamington-spa.com for details.
