I am trying to get in touch with Angela Williams, who used to live in Tachbrook Street, Leamington Spa and worked as a nursing sister on the Children's Ward at Warwick Hospital in the late 1960s. Angela went to Australia in late 1968 and may have returned to the UK in 1969. Would love to hear from anyone who knew Angela or can tell me of her current whereabouts. Angela has a brother, Gerrard/Ge rard (known as 'Gerry') who was farming in the late 1960s somewhere in S. Warks - possibly near Southam. hi everyone Ive been looking on the net, in the local papers , leamington library, numerous leamington books and even the national archives for any information, pictures , or video, of leamington spa during the 60s and 70s with very little success, im looking in particular for pictures of TOYTOWN in Regent St , i did find a few pics of the store on facebook when john pertwee made a visit a s wurzel gummage, but these pics were inside the shop, i would be grateful of more pics from inside , but really need a pic of the shop frontage for a project im working on, i know that during the 60s and right up to the early 90s Santa would stop off at Toytown at xmas time, so im hoping that someone might have a pic of this occassion from there childhood . Im also looking for pictures of the HENRY GRIFFITHS ( JEWEL FACTORY ) on Tachbrook Rd and the air raid shelter that stood on the wasteground next to it , and clemens street on the left hand side looking down the hill , if anyone has any pictures or video of these places i would be most grateful if you could contact me on my email address, as its driving me insane trying to find any referance to these places. kind regards pete i would also be grateful of any old pics of leamington spa during these dates ( 60s - 90s ) many thanx ... more >> Reply

This is a complete longshot. During 1943 a German solider named Johan (hans) came to leamington and was involved in a relationship with my grandmother (Betty creelman/Savage) married later in 1944 to Gilbert warnier and who worked and lived at the Rugby tavern pub leamington spa. He later returned in the 60's to visit my grandmother but she was too upset to see him, he posted a photograph of my mother as a child under the door with the writing on the back (I am here) We have strong reason to believe this may be my mothers father and my grandfather but cease to get any information from my grandmother. Hiya im looking for someone ive lost touch with her name is Rachel Shaw the last time we met she was running a business as a reflexologist. Her parents lived in Radfor Semele but Rachel lived allover Leamington at various times but she did used to drink regulary at Kellys.
