Cinemas
- city cinema near the bus station tacky, shit, amazing
- The Odeon in Leiceste is one of my favourite cinemas. It has loads of screens so usually shows at least 5 films at any one time. There's lots of food and drink there and all sorts of stuff. It's quite far out of the way though, near Walkers football ground.
- vue all the way
- Odeon.
- vue & odean - for fairly standard multiplex fun. the odean at freemans park has better public transport links. both have an assortment of eateries nearby and alcohol is available at the chiquitos bar and tom cobleighs pub respectively. For art house cinema buffs the phoenix in town has a good selection. Bollywood films are shown at both multiplexs as well as several specifically bollywood cinema houses doted about.
- Odeon - Freemen's Common and Warner Brothers - Meridian Park. Some shite Bollywood affair up Melton Road as well.
- Multi screen at Freemens Common.
- oden freeman park and vue at meridian
- If you want a nice, easy cinema, go to either the Odien or the new vue cinema at the Meridean. I prefer the meridean as it is closer and it is £3 a ticket apposed to £4 or £5 at the Odien.
- Odean (Freemans common, City center), Warner Village (Fosse park). Both very good, but Warner is better that Odean
- The Broadway in Nottingham - en experience all it's own. Phoenix Arts comes close.
- Odeon is great, the Warner village is too far and you cant have a few drinks coz u have to drive it, busses stop at night so thers no point going there.
From odeon i can get a nite bus home for 2 quid so we usually get smashed at the 'local hero' after a nice film.
- Two excellent complexes: 1 At Freemens Park, near Safeway and good eats and pubs 2 The Meridian near M1 J69 on the Outer Ring. See them on the web as both are national with excellent web sites. Book in advance over the net and save quing.
- odeon freemans park
- Odeon 12 is a good 12-screen cinema and Warner Bros at Meridian Leisure Park is a good 9 screen cinema. I prefer the Warner Cinema cos of the screens being a bit bigger and the shops are easier to access.
- phoenix. good films, good bar and good disabled access. just...good!
- Odeon. Nearish to centre, bout 30 mins walk, reasonable place. tHE floor is sticky and the chairs are small. Warner Bros, 93p for the bus from the centre (return ticket), much better, no floor stickyness, bogs aint bad, seats are bloody great!!!
- LOCAL PORN HAUNT.
- erm ok their is the Odean so thats one thing and that fat bastard fatty arbuckle is near it so u can have a snack after seeing hollywood remake fact into fiction as america is a world of its own
- Theres the Odean - nearish town or you can trek out to Warner Bros. Personally the odean is nicer and comfier, you can freeze you pants off in warner brothers so bring an extra jumper!
- phoenix, lovely a place you can get a hard drink in before watching a film
- The Odeon on Freeman's Common is dreadful- stupid times for anything you want to see, and as soon as you get round to going, it's gone. Plus they show the most god-awful films for months on end. Try the Phoenix instead.
- Both the cinemas (Odeon and WB) seems too expensive. The sound level is ear-bursting in the Odeon but conveniently near to Leicester Uni residences and Safeways. WB is too far way but worth making an effort to get there for a night out because there are some good eating places nearby.
- Odeon, WB,New Odeon
- Phoenix
- The Phoenix Arts centre (2 mins walk from city centre towards De Montfort University) is a great, small 1-screen cinema-cum-theatre which caters for alternative/cult/comedy performances. Best thing I went to was The Rocky Horror Show film (on at least once a year, I think). Also do nice food upstairs, and has a (very) small but discreet bar downstairs.
- Meridian is cool so is Freemans park
- Phoenix- Best for cult, art & foreign films. Two multi plex's but as usual all showing the same film!
