• Chives Coffee Shop @ Glebe Garden Centre, Foston Road, Countesthorpe, Leicester, LE8 5QP. High quallity food and drink freshly prepared onsite, all sourced from local suppliers where possible. Come and get your warm welcome....
• Get yr self out to Anstey. The coffe shop on the corner does the best coffee for mile. Dunno it's name, but starbucks need to visit to see how it should be done

• Cafe Bruxelles, High Street. Starbucks, corner of Gallowtree Gate and Market Place.

• Starbucks is the best in Leicester.
• Cafe Express on the 2nd Floor of the Haymarket, all the female staff are about 17 and you can sit and drool in your coffee and pretend you have a hangover. Saturdays before midday is the best for hot staff.
• "Cream" on Humberstone Gate, just opened. Friendly, relaxed and not "Caffe Nero extortionate"!

• The room upstairs - between The Shires and the market - good cheap food during the day. old-maid attitude, but a cool place to wind down - and if the regular staff are on hols - the stand in staff are good for a laugh!
• Castle Rock cafe near the Charlotte. DON'T GO TO STARBUCKS OR CAFE NERO MO-FO!

• The new coffee bar on Narborough Rd is great -'The flying Cups' - a really chilled out atmosphere and great service. Its open late so if u dont fancy a mad nite out clubbing chill out there. It cured my hangover!

• Bossa on Granby Street do the most fantastic tuna melts ever, and they have to be tried. Nice pints, too. The staff are, in the main, as gay as windows, so this would be a good LGB place.
• Jeez far to mant - they are EVERYWHERE!!!! Personally i'm getting a bit sick of them. You can't walk down the street without tripping over a chair and someone chuntering into their cappucino. If your looking for a nice place though go to "Some Place Else" on Granby street, opposite the Grand Hotel. Lookat the groovy unsual lampshades and whispy, handpainted decor - in nice to chill in. Cool (but confusing) name though...go meet someplace else!!!
• for some reason there seems to be thousands of these little cafe things poping up everywhere, i dont see whats wrong with a old fashond pub myself
• If you like coffee (REAL coffee), go to Liquid on Guildhall Lane. And they do take-out's, so you don't HAVE to pose in the window seats. Oct 2001.
• Beejay's Cafe (formerly Lofty's) on Howard Road (just off Welford Road). It's a fabulously greasy spoon!
• There's only opne place Brucies (Bruciano?) see Leicester and enjoy good cheap food.

• Caramba! on Braunstone Gate. Amazing BLT baguettes at lunchtime. Laid back and friendly, pop in for a coffee at any time of the day. Also serves great cajun food in the upstairs restaurant in the evening, and the Jazz club twice a week has a relaxed atmosphere.
• The ultimate Cafe is Fat Cats which does gigantic mugs of coffee, and gorgeous Icecreams. Belvoir Street

• Castle Rock Cafe, next to the Charlotte. Vast amount of choice (3 walls covered in menus), good quality food, licensed and a very relaxed atmosphere. Open 7 days a week. I love this place, my favourite eating place when I'm in Leicester.
