  • shires
  • The 'LegoLand' style DMU building.
  • The mirch masala vegetarian restaurant / cafe in the city centre always a sight for sore eyes!
  • the cathedral cuz it has graves round it
  • Origional Four, formally Lizard Lounge
  • The Malcombe Arcade, it has Casino in it.
  • St Mary de Castro Church, near the castle.
  • I dont know. Actually the HSBC bank in town is quite impressive.
  • Leicester Cathedral, go down there on a Sunny Saturday afternoon and you'll see why. :-)
  • i like that curved corner fenwicks department store building on belvoir street, opposite the library. looks 1920s/30s, might be wrong, i have no idea.
  • In the city centre don't just look at the shop fronts, raise your eyes and look at what was left behind by the Victorians. Some weird and wonderful architecture. Shop in London Road with a row of hats above the windows is the place where a Police Inspector and master of disquise lived in the 19th Century, hence the hats. See the outlandish front of the Turkish Cafe in Granby St.
  • new walk council offices ¦)
  • dont really have one!
  • Hawthorne building DMU LEVEL 2
  • The department for demolitions building
  • clock tower
  • The wonky guildhall, mock tudor house with stories of hauntings....
  • Space Center, looks all pornoish - maybe 1 day leicester could be like amsterdam (hopefully when the space center goes bankrupt that some pornking will buy it)
  • The attenborough tower at the uni is fab because of the Paternoster lift.
  • the buildings on Silver street.
  • Andy:The buildings on Silver street.
  • Branigans
  • Turkey cafe on granby street
  • The Guildhall is beautiful, in fact most of the lanes around there are pretty interesting.
  • Old John, Bradgate Park. Excellent folly.
  • Silver Arcade - but get it while you can.......closing Jan 01.......
  • Silver Arcade
  • Queen's building at DMU is very unusual and apparently won loads of architechture awards.
  • any big buildings with something to skate
  • James Went Poly building a fine suicide venue
  • Turkey Cafe - proper Architecture. The Queens Building (DMU) - passive heating and ventilating system - as a result it is always bloody freezing inside.
  • DeMontfort university queens building has won several architecture awards. It has no central heating but is designed in such a way that it uses the body heat of people in the building a redistributes it. Clever hey!
  • Turkey Cafe Old Fish Market Guildhall
  • Jongleurs comedy club
  • The railway station is pretty cool. Plus the fountain (I know it's not a building, but it's nice).
  • The Turkey Cafe on Granby Street, now some sort of opticians but if you look up from pavement level, wow!
