- cool stall in the indoor market, several good independants around for example in St. martins square.
- Archers, High Street, Leicester has collectable records.
- I would recomend BPM its in an arcarde just near the market, a must.

- that music shop on clarendon park road next to the excellent specialist off-licence and the second-hand book shop is great and the guy who runs it is really sound. interested to know if he still sells those cheap tapes at the front coz i remember raiding it when i was hungry and carefully shepherding my pennies.

Loads of great new and pre-owned CDs, posters, patches, promos and collectables, very good metal/industrial/Punk section. Knowledgeable staff.

- Just a quick update for those who are making a special trip, Backtrack (which IS the best record shop in Leicester) has now moved round the corner to 17a Cank St. I've just looked on yell.com and the telephone number's 0116 262 4777.
- do not goto woolworths, or whsmiths for your CDs. there are no good CDs they they sell, its either in the charts or naff party "tunes". what you wanna do if goto rockaboom on st martin's square. its an awsoem shop, always something you want!brilliant.
- Try the shops in St Martains square - like boom. They also sell loads of gig tickets and second hand cd's at bargin prices!!!
- Rockaboom, a good place for all kinds of sk8 pund, ska Numetal, you can also get all your gig tickets from there for the Charlotte and the Shed.
Backtracks is also a good place for cheap CD's and 2nd hand cD's.HMV is cool cos my friend Sarah works there. :)

- Wicked shop, THE LEFT~LEGGED PINEAPPLE, sells a variety of wicked 2nd hand stuff,
t-shirts and all the new ones.

- The best record shop is Backtrack in silver arcade for second hand cd's you thought you would never find, followed a close second by Rock a Boom for it's great variaty of gig tickets. (st martins square)

- Archers Records - Second hand, but they will have what you want on vinyl or CD.
- World Records, Queens Road - Average second hand vinyl, but some good bargains.
- Time Box,Clarendon Park - You know that deleted indie 12"? You'll get it here, but maybe at a price.
- Ainley's - Big store, was really good last year, but has strangely gone all shit and expensive.
- There are also several other small second hand record shops in and around Leicester and Oadby.
- Rockaboom- Already mentioned but also good for concert tickets.
