  • New sakte park has recentely been built in Oadby's uplands Park. Got a fun box, miniramps, kickers and sort of a halfpipe but it's still alright. Not packed, only with a few locals. its not as big as the 1 @ vicky park but its pretty decent. Check it out...
  • the boardroom is a must have!!!!! nice atmosphere, good ramps, pumpin beats, everythin you could ever want. there is a comp there on x-mas eve, so check it out at 10pm- 4pm.
  • Western Park Mini is back! its good but startin 2 get a bit slippy, it alwo has 3 gud grind boxes, floor is covered in stones and broken glass tho, (gets a lil dodgy at nites!) Dovelands School has a sketchy 2, few gd benches, lil hip transfer, small long bank, lots of flat smooth space and ollie over rails. check out the quay, its found at bede island park its got a few benches 2 2sets a road gap and bank a few waxed steps, The Triangles is unskateable now, they put rails all around the boxes and down the steps but the rails have big anti-grind blobs on them so its a lost cause, glenfield road 7set and ledge, this spot has neva bin sk8ed by ne1 apart from me n my m8s, its on the glenfield road on the way out of town, its neard the dentist and st andrews church, its a nice low ledge down a long 7 set, only problem is a big kint in the ledge at the bottom but check it out neway. theres the parks aswell, theres the edge, doghouse and boardroom, check them out, Piper Way school car park on glenfield road (up near new college) its got 2 curb height manual blocks and 2 waxed curb (one of which needs a bit of a re-wax and curves (good if u can nail it tho) on your way back from there skate down letchworth road, keep an eye out for the fronts of ppls houses theres sum quite gd wall gaps 2 drops and banks n stuff, theres also St Annes churs its got a bank with a ledge and step combo, waxed step, a decent 6 set and a good drop/planter gap on2 the pavement and then the road, i cant think of anything else, so just sk8 around theres always sumthing 2 have a laff on happy sk8in!!
  • loughborough : amzing 9 set at kfc as wel as amazing waxed kerb and grat flower bed gaps, great 5 set at the museum, great 6 set in queens park bandstand, southfilds park, funbox with dodgy rail, but the halfpipe there is quite nice rothley: the park is great, spine is a bit steep tho. great 5 set at bt place
  • sk8 key with move and folo there and eric sponsered by coreboard (conflict)

  • Go to corky school on cort cresent in braunstone, there is a 2 set of 4 1 set of 5 a big set of 2 a flat band a few benches here and there and is smooth ideal for street skating. or the winstanley health center down the flats just off winstanley drive, it has a set of 5 nice and flat and is good for all you manual-er's out there or queensmead or queensmead junior just off winstanley drive good for flat land both have a few benches **big up to the braunstone skate scene**
  • The skatepark on Southfields nr the Council Offices has now been re built and has a run-off ramp (4-5ft), a death box, and a 4ft halfpipe. Its a lot better than the old one as it has more ramps and is easier to skate. ROTHLEY also has a new skatepark/BMX track. It is at the bottom of Rothley Primary School next to Fowke Street Playing Fields. It has a run off ramp into a jump box with grind pole going into a 3ft quarter pipe. It also has a 4ft half pipe into a spine back into a 4ft half pipe. It has a BMX track alongside it. Its only just been completed and is already a massive success with kids boarders and BMXers coming from miles around as it is the best in the area. Any comments from other riders/boarders that have used the Rothley skatepark would be great.
  • Skate on and around the uni to piss people off, skate through the shires and the townies will scream, if u can get from one end to the other without being caught then good on u lad
  • County Hall is a pretty good spot to skate, I find. BMXing is alright there too. Bomont Lees has a new skatepark which is small but cool and theres also the new one on Victoria Park.
  • Victoria Park and The Edge ©
  • cool school in netherhall. kestrels field had benches and a pole round back to practice on. the new tesco hamilton has some benches and steps and stuff, is pretty cool. :)
  • dont go townhall square unless you want to be arrested, which aint too kool infront of your friends!
  • Try newwalk or on the great central railway - don't worry theres no trains - not even a track its been tarmaced over and provides a smooth (ish) surface from the city centre to Blaby, which fields and benches on the way.
  • Andy:A good place to skate is at the back of the living well health centre, part of the car park is sheltered so it's good for the wet.It has a smooth ramp which is quite big so it makes good jumps.Further round next to the clock theres some steps which make a massive jump but looks real good if u pull it off(though u will have to use the road for a landing)!!! Shout out to my boarding buddies Will N John
  • Victoria Park - Stage 1 of the park is now finished - kind of a concrete stealth bomber - flat banks either side with a big hip in the middle in a resurfaced basketball court. Stage 2 at end of summer will see a large block and flat rail added, with a couple of quarter pipes to get some speed. The best facility Leicester has had since the Crown Court banks were demolised.
  • skatepark at vicki park! smooth surface, nice ramp with hip. a couple of new things added- grind pole, mini box. not the biggest of all skateparks but just try it and if you accomplish the ramp, you won't even care! cool ppl hang out there too.
  • southfeilds college near he exit is a gap there is plenty of steps benches and rails. good place for street skating. Its a fat place to skate
  • LOUGBOROUGH........The place is now wicked, it has "The Rush", a wicked skate shop, loadsa waxed curbs everwhere, drop-offs and a few stair sets. BUT most importantly, their will be TWO SK8 PARKS by the time u r readin' this (probably). The first and smallest is in Southfields park behind the council building (that is a bad thing). It is very small ut has a steep bank, funbox with low rail and a seperate kinked low rail. THE SECOND AND MOST WICKEDEST is the one by the train station, it is a 1/4 million pound project. Now I right, it has not been built, but it should have mini-verts, low rails, quater pipes and a spine! COOL EH?
  • NEW SOON NEW SOON - Victoria Park, Leicester - work is going to start very soon on a park in one of the old basketball courts - large flat bank with central hip, rails and benches - this is just the start - the place is intended to grow as more money becomes available - check casinoskates.com for updates. NEW but DUFF - Beaumont Leys, Leicester - Bendcrete built concrete 2 quarter pipes and a mini mini funbox affair - the rough tennis court surface and dodgy site is a big minus. Miniramp in Quorn ( sorry if this is in the wrong bit ) Nearly a new miniramp in Melton ( sorry if this is in the wrong bit )
  • bead island (where the key is!) it has a lot of two steps and benchs and stuff! Be really nice as i have been trown off there!!! so keep the noise down and hopefully it will stay a hassle free spot!
  • thurmaston is excellent if you know the place, if not contact me or matt (matt240_uk@yahoo.co.uk)and we will help you. - there is the training centre, with a banked concrete wall, pallets and stuff to built temp. ramps, and some blocks and slopes and stuff too. - there is Troon Ind. estate, all the factories have loading bays / steps and stuff. - the schools: Roundhill (excellent double set and some other steps etc.) Church Hill Primary (more steps and a wide, low wall to grind/drop & rails too) theres some more but my fingers are aching now! e-mail me! thenamesguy@yahoo.co.uk
  • Go to Bead Island. Near the key. Theres this courtyard and it's got benches, steps, and lots of us acting like loud kids! Go, have fun sk8ing!
  • ellie - ok, so maybe at the moment there aren't many good places to skate, but Leicester's chances of having its own indoor skate/BMX park are looking more promising. My petitions are doing great, and the council have got to weaken sooner or later. We'll get there in the end. Hi to all the STASH boys (fantastic punk band - go and see them!!).
  • Paul: Probably the best place to skate is at the Aldi car park, nice and smooth in parts and a huge gap to clear. Stay clear of the Town Hall because we are constantly being thrown off and there's not a lot to skate anyway apart from a few steps and some walls for noseslides. The Universities are quite good to skate and the underpass might be alright when it's finished. Apart from that one more good place to skate is Judgemeadow School which has some banks and the suface is quite good to. Shouts out to Rob and Miles and anyone else who skates in Leicester. Rob how's the New Deal top!!!!!!!
  • Rob: The polytechnic, now a university, has some good stuff. But you really need a piece of ply wood to skate the bank at the students union. There are some real smooth steps and a drop round the corner from the students union. Hopefully the subway will be finished soon and I heard that it may have some decent stuff.
  • Miles: Kibworth Primar School: steps, banks, walls, benches. High School: steps, waxed curbs, ramps, railslide. Ramps and railslide in youth club on Monday and Wednesday. If no-one's in the youth club, try the mobile next door.
  • True: back of Phoenix car park. Town Hall square. Western Park mini or anywhere else we like.
  • Laura: Western Park.
