Arts, crafts and such
- loads of good galleries dotted all over. Some well known artists live here and every year there is the Leigh Art Trail where shops display art by an artist who is in the shop to chat and sell etc. Thats in spring. Big trendy new gallery called Paris in Leigh Road looks impressive and theres a great little shop off Rectory Grove selling framed arty photos of estury views etc in Leigh
- Shop Naked sells art and accessories that independent designers have made. Stuff is quite edgy - no twee stuff. Also Castle Lawson situated near Gum does a lot of arty designs.
- Mod art gallery in rectory grove is really cool-this one is a must visit.
- There is a wicked hair braider in leigh-on-sea. yeah its a bit of a girls thing but very cool. Her company name is 'Stardust' and i think here website is www.stardustparties.co.uk. But if you're visiting leigh, she can usually be found at craft fairs etc.

- Sheila Appleton in old leigh has really good arty stuff of the local area.
- "4 WINDS" Is in Rectory Grove. The shop is run by Vanessa who is alovley lady and makes everyone welcome. The shop in mostly Native American and unusual stuff. It is fast becoming a real meeting place for the anyone that likes anything differant. You can often go in to find people talking about Reincarnation, dreams, and lots more, and if she has time Vanessa will make a cup of tea.

- Crystals 925 is a really cool shop. Want to find your crystal? Then this is the place. Nice stuff - nice people. No, I'm not related, I live in Scotland!
- Natural Edge is a superb shop in the Broadway. It sells all sorts of craft and odd little bits & pieces you can't find anywhere else in the town. It has tripled in size since it opened a few years ago, the only expanding business in the area.
