Favourite Building in Leigh on Sea, Essex*

Art deco, contemporary, futuristic, tall, short...

You can tell us more about Leigh on Sea.

Favourite Building
  • There are quite a few nice buildings. St Clements Church and a lot of the older residential properties are very attractive.
  • The library - beautiful.
  • I'm afraid it has to be The Broadway Grill. Neo-Baroque in character, it is home to THE greatest Kebab known to man - The Iskender - if you haven't tried one, invest £4.50 (the price alone should tell you it's special)and never look back. Go on, trust me.
  • St Clements Church
  • The post office. Like stepping into a time-travelling machine, it stocks all those old fashioned toys that you don't get anywhere else. Also a good place to collect your dole or pension.
  • The Grand Hotel (pub)...imposing! Did you know that in the Sixties/Seventies they were going to knock it down and build a supermarket....thank god they didn't! And if they had, well who know's what would have happend to Leigh!
  • The Grand Hotel
  • The Grand looks nice.
  • Woodfield Wine Stores.
  • Broadway Grill
  • Alpha Centre; Oasis coffee house
  • st clements chuch is a lovely old building and is currently restoring both the actul church and the bell tower.
