Pubs in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire*
The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Leighton Buzzard.
Pubs
- No clubs in Leighton Buzzard, Lancer is good on a friday and Saturday but Saturday is for the older mature people, Litten Tree full of youngsters on a Saturday, Office after 2 on a Saturday but again all youngsters and most of time 1 or 2 fights. NEVER EVER go Top Bell!!
- Buckingham Arms for a nice welcome and pint after a long delay on the trains!!
- The Anchor in Tilsworths a good pub, the drinks good, and the foods good, well worth checking out. and they've got a good play area for the kids, when the sun blesses us with its presence.
- the swan is the best in town
- The Grove, The Hare & Hounds, where Ronnie Biggs had a pint here before he had to catch a train. The Golden Bell used to be a good student pub one time with good food.
- Fresh Faced crowd at the Black Horse in town, nice pub called the Hare nearer the Bypass
- new Litten Tree Pub down by the libray is the new in-place. Crowded and noisy but lots of beer, loose women!
- Good real ale in the White Horse - no underage here.
The Golden Bell is a timber framed inn in Church Square - does cheap beer .
- Renoirs is the place to be at any day of the week, whoever said its full of druggies has obviously never been anywhere else in town or is out of there face themselves!! its got good music, all the live sport and cheap drinks 24/7 and sundays are £1.50 night excellent for getting hammered on a sunday even if your skint. The bar maids are by far the friendliest in town and are not out of it on drugs just up for a good time as are the customers.
- Litten tree is always packed full of people who love themselves and think there it. its got no atmosphere and is far too expensive and watch out for the doormen they like to think they can beat up anyone they like for no reason. Shades well need i say anything about the bin except stay well clear manager is a complete twat and who'd pay a fiver to go in a hole like that!!! Bell is dead in week and not much better at weekends!! Renoirs is buzzing at weekend great atmosphere and great cocktail and shooters bar. Roebuck is full of the towns scum and so is the red lion. Wheatsheaf is full of bikers but very welcoming and good live entertainment.
- Some really decent pubs around here, The Ship on Wing Road is excellent, The Golden Bell at the bottom of the High Street also rates highly.
Some places are very much a "locals only" kinda pub but if you can face it out you'll be classed as a regular after only a couple of visits.
- You must be the exception to the rule then. I am neither any of the above and definitely NOT jealous. Let's face it, the staff in any bar or pub are only as nice as the punters who go there. Renoirs attracts bad people, the Litten Tree does not. Every girl i've known to work in Renoirs is "easy" , if you are not then I applaud you.
- Black lion or renoirs, black lion is better.
- AVOID The Dukes Head in Heath & Reach. Most of the customers don't have a pulse. the music in the pub is a cross between barber shop singers & Elvis.
absolutely no atmostphere before or after you have been savaged by either the huge black mobile rug of a dog or the landlord's other dog "Tina"(fractionally smaller but with a lot more hair on it's top lip & belly).
i would not recommend to any female on her own to even look through the dirty rotten windows, let alone enter the premises, as the landlord is perminently in season. stress ~! this is not a joke !
- oh we love the buck no fresh faces in here just a lot of girlzzzz
- The ship's gone down hill since i was "fresh faced", try the black lion, the golden bell or the wheatsheaf for proper beer. Good local bands in the wheatsheaf.
- Golded Bell Church square, excellent small pub, unbelievably cheap drinks good atmosphere at weekends.
- Shades - a total hole and run by idiots. Pay a fiver to get in after 11pm, dam right robbery
Litten Tree gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nites. I have to say Renoirs is the place to be. Graham the Manager is great and its £1.50 for EVERY drink on Sunday nites with live kareoke. Such fun and cheap at that - get lashed on a tenner, proper bargain!
- Black lion ans litten tree great for a friday night - attract a young crowd but not too young!!
- good for a fight go to the litten tree on a friday nite.
- for a fresh faced crowd, harpers pub in mill road is the one for you,you are considered ancient at 30.
- the black horse, the black lion
- the ship is fine you insulting monkey
- The pubs in leighton are alright, but in most pubs there will probaly have a decent punch up.We love the tavern and the falcon but the landlady needs to learn a lesson about treating people [shes proper moody].
- Grove lock, three locks and the globe, not for anyone into pumping dance music, but if you like a great family, old fashioned, canal side pint of ale. Look no further.
- The Globe Inn
- Waterborne pub has closed down and may be demolished
- The Waterbone is close.
- There are several good pubs in LB, The Sun in Lake Street, The Ashwell Arms in Ashwell Street and The Grove Lock outside town Tring turn off from the by-pass.
- The Three Locks pub is NOT in Leighton or even Linslade. It is and has been for two long a grubby underused poorly served canalside pub which serves Bass (!!!) and little else. As a potential gem of the canal pubs in the area, it remains that - potential wasted, ignored, trashed.
- Theres a great pub just out of town called 'The Ashwell Arms'
run by a fit ginger haired landlady and her family, definatly a must to visit if your into football, bar games, music and having a laugh
The place is due for a large extension and redec in january, more room to party!!!!!!!
A AVID ASHWELL FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE IT
- The Three Locks is nice, especially in summer. The Crown is a respectable sort of place.
- The Ship on Wing Road currently attracts the majority of the nearby secondary school, all have a bad attitude
- Are the pubs in Leighton really as bad as you all make out? I was considering moving to the town but am having second thoughts.
- the black lion is excellent on prices but renoirs has now been taken over by the bloke who runs shades, so expect a young crowd there.
- Litten Tree, Renoirs in Lake Street, Black Lion, Waterborne all attract a good crowd at weekends
- Bell in high street is dead now, Waterborne is good, Renoirs is my personal favourite, Litten Tree is always very busy, Don't bother with the Crown, very expensive. Black Lion alright, Golden Bell full of nobheadsd,Black Horse okay
- The Bell on the highstreet. So long as you don't get in a fight, that was THE pub.
- The Hare Inn http://www.thehare.co.uk
- Golden Bell in High Street.
Black Lion, high street
Both are okay. The Globe by the canal. Turn off at Stoke road junction just outside linslade - great in summer
