• Dave Titlow was in the S men then in Blue Mercedes, had minor hits in the singles charts and was on TOTP and Blue Peter
• Sorry, Courtney Love never went to Summerhill, she made it up. Or at least her ghost writer did. We checked the school records for all her known aliases, no sign of her. That said, Rebecca De Mornay and Tom Conti both attended.
• The drummer from Rue De La Mort who married Joanna Lumleys cousin.

• the hoax team has been to the skate park as well as lee blackwell from death skateboards and ben laiden from the duffs team
• Ipswich Town FC star striker of the 50s, Ted Phillips, lived in Leiston. He scored 40 goals in one season, making him the Football League's top scorer. He had an incredibly powerful shot with either foot.
• I saw famous Bill Nighy in the carpark by the Electric shop. His car was very nondescript but he looked great. I think he lives nearby. A.S. Neill former headmaster of Summerhill wrote alot of books and is world famous but not as famous as old pupil Courtney Love, mad grunge queen.
• Latest news about Rue De La Mort reforming on an occasional basis are true, the band have been seen playing occasional gigs but without bassist Pete and drummer Adrien - members from the bands most stable and successful line up. Various rumours of the latter duo being out of the country, too drunk to play, not wanting to play, both deceased, both joined the Hare Krishnas and being gay are unfounded. However, word has filtered through that one of the duo said " hell will freeze over" before he plays with singer/guitarist/founder member Jonathan again. Thinks there might be some discontent about not being asked? Rattles thrown out of the pram boys? Watch this space for more news.
• Rue De La Mort, local rockers. Ex Bass player Pete working in Films, ex Drummer Adrian married Joanna Lumleys cousin.
• Don't think David Frost lives there now, only when he was with Peter Seller's widow Lynn Frederick years ago. But Bill Nighy is in the next village.
• The Drummer with Rue De La Mort(very drunk shock rock dudes)married Joanna Lumley's cousin. Adrian i think it was. He was also in another band, can't remember the name though. The Bass Player was in the Bog Seat Boys and Third Stone and now works in Film and T.V Bill Nighy and Diana Quick live just outside Leiston
• It's hard to believe, but it'll take quite a bit to beat the mother of Kurt Cobain's children & Queen of the Seattle movement: Courtney Love. Who went to school in Leiston at "Summerhill" Hard to imagine her drawing a tenner out of the little red-brick Barclay's on the weekend - probably on her way to see the Darkness at the White.
• I went to school with Graeme Proudfoot. He became a famous model and pin up. I think.
• Saw the bloke who used to play bass in Rue dela More on TV, he makes films, he did a film about cyclists that was on recently (Pete? Adrian?)
• I went to Leiston Primary (early 70's) with a kid called Titlow (forget first name - son of the iron monger's) who, I understand, once went out with Kylie Monogue and got his pic in some celeb mags.

• Not that anyone cares, but apparently Sir David Frost lives nearby.
• Conal wright of Lab-24 has now become a massive star in his own bedroom. Loved by women everywhere, he is truly one of a kind
