Hookup Spots
- Driving past the other day i appears they are Bricking up the famous Bog Seats
- Well, im not part of the bog brigade. Its gotta b the skate parc, or outside the kebab if you're that drunk.
- we normally just hang about the skate park wondering whos gonna get sponsored first and when but with talent like billy joe churchard and George"cheese"wright its bound to happen soon
- Bog seats theres a new lot that use to set there a bunch of 3 girls called t bog seat girls!!
- Da Heart flats is the place 2be seen...
- Bog Seats, is the ultimate hookup spot however now it is full of 16/17yr olds who sit about drinking tins of beer and try to pick a fight with anyone who walks past then run off if anyone accepts. The car park is also full of people who sit about in their "Souped up" cars
- Hook up spots? People usually wander around aimlessly until they bump into each other.
- Unfortunately, the "Powers That Be" deemed fit to take away that holiest of icons, the Bog Seat! It was removed in an effort to stop all the vandelism that's occurring, although I think it was probably some pesky kids, not a wooden plank!
- I visited Leiston last month and I can report that the bog seats are no more. The *bogs* are still there, but, man, they've taken the seats away. Town planners be damned! The area still seems to be the main youth hook-up spot though.
- Definetly had to be the bus shelter and the car park! where we used to rev up our souped up boy racers (insert lame car here)
- Bogseats. There was a band in the early 80s called the bogseat boys. Punky I think. Had High Pilcher in it adn a guy who then was in Rue de la morte
- Heh, I used to hang out by the bog seats, aged 10/11, circa 1974. Nothing changes! (Well, Hubbards has gone, so has The International Supermarket, John Ives Shoe Shop, Mr Pike the barber... and Mr Short the greengrocer is now the pet shop man... But the bog seats trancend such ephemerality...)
- Almost forgot... don't kids hang out by Dunn's Pit anymore? It used to be a rubbish dump full of really exciting stuff... The rec at Knodishall always used to be a good bet for the out of townies. Not sure about now. This was before the invention of skatboards (well, almost).
- I used to live on Carr Avenue behind the railroad tracks 6 years ago. I dont know if it is still there or how it looks, but my mates and I used to climb down into the hollow above the bridge under the tracks and wait till that train came and try to scream as loud as we could until the train passed. It's a great place to hango out, smoke fags, and get your kit off. We also hung out in the woods behind the track and got sick on pears and apples that grew likw wildflower.
- the bus shelter or mace car park two brilliant hook up spots both of a excellent standard
- Sdaly it is still oustisde the bogs - as it has been for 20 yrs. Even a band named after them (the Bogseat Boys) in the early eighties.
- There must be something very special about that Bog Seat as it was the hang out when I lived in Leiston twenty years ago. Are the present Bog seat inhabitants the decendents of the last lot?
- I used to skate in Leiston and I am surprised to find this site. Keep on representin' the mothership. For tis truly sacred earth.
- The bog seats, obviously.
