  • the best pub in long eaton is the buzz bar, the music is fantastic and there a good crowd of people there up 4 a laugh.
  • The Tiger Inn has the best food in Long Eaton since the new management team have settled in and come up with new inventive ideas, there is entertainment too, go on give them a visit.
  • well if u on a budget gotta be the twitchel £1:30 for a pint of carling can't be bad
  • Tappers Harker. Big pub, big-screen TVs, dead quiet so you are less likely to get beaten up there unlike most other places in LE
  • lots, all quite quite charming and brimming with character, except the litten tree, even in jest I will not say good things about that plastic abomination.
  • Bass house,Litten tree,corner Pin,Top House,Chalkies,The factory,etc,etc,etc!!!!! too many too mention!
  • There is no Turks Head anymore in Long Eaton - it has been knocked down and there are flats there now!
  • Minskys has changed its name (talking of custom with very youthful appearences), it is now called "Evolution" And all I can say is: "you can take the "un" out of "changed", but you cant take the "changed" out of "un". The corner pin is ok, nice and clean these days.
  • have you been in the pin latley sawdust i think not
  • corner pin gr8 place to go friendly staff and a brilliant new look and clean tables.
  • Had the pleasure of going to Long Eaton a while back. Sticky carpets, cheap booze, yes its all true and it you take it for what it is then a good night is had by all. Scariest thing about Long Eaton is all the pubs have bouncers that have been cloned!!!!!!
  • The Farm- fresh faced Wilsthorpe crowd.
  • Rileys American pool and Snooker hall The finest bar in Long Eaton. Big screen showing all the football. 2 English pool 8 American poll and 10 snooker tables.
  • If your comfortable with paying £2.60 for a pint of Stella (!) then go to Eaton Farm. Dead friendly atmosphere, nice staff and it is starting to get more and more alternative people in just lately, so worth a look. Just about all the other pubs in the mean streets of L.E are best avoided. Particularly the Sportsman- you dont even get asked to 'pick a window', its entirely at your attackers discretion which one you leave through. If you do make it to the bar you will find that you are able drink 10 pints of 'lager' without even burping let alone getting drunk. All i can say is their water bill each month must be enourmous.
  • great choice of drinks , smart vodka mudshake reccomended
  • baroque is now buzz bar and pretty good- land lady certainly not gay! corner pin has now bwwn refurbished and is pretty nice. kitten peee (litten tree) nice but expensive, full of old people and ther's a right twat called wags who works on the bar! (all local ladies know who he is!)
  • The Litten Tree has to be one of the best, avoid the ones not in the main route if u are not a local, as the natives tend to have a "we dont like strangers round here" type of stance.
  • The Half Crown Long Eaton is no longer a gay bar. It has a friendly family atmosphere, and band night is now back on Monday nights.
  • Fancy a pint and a week off work, check out the railway inn, station road, where the flys outnumber punters 3 to 1 every single day !!
  • The Nags head serves a great pint of Marstons
  • old ale house, why are all the pubs in long eaton famous?????
  • Harrington Arms in Sawley. Much better than average pub food, not full of dickheads.
  • the comments made in refrence to the Half crown are totally misleading and untrue. As a female member of bar staff (with the body to prove it) i would like to add that we do not have 100% male staff, and do not operate as a gay pub. We do however welcome all walks of life. We do offer cheap food and a variety of entertainment throughout the week. (just for the record, not all gay men have big mustaches and wear leather hats, i and a few friends of mine find these comments to be most insulting.)
  • Soldiers and Sailors, Tamworth road, opposite the railway staion. classy establishment. cheap booze, and you get to watch all the old women play bingo on tuesday nights. just before old bill kicks in with his swinging 50's disco.
  • Twitchell. very nice very nice prices..is a whetherspoons eaton farm...mainly a local crowd, not bad for bumping into folks you used to go to school with sportsman..very good, ideal in fact if you want to get beat up. the petersham...if you don't live on the estate..then value your life ad don't do it.
  • i used to go into the tiger on tammworth road, but i havent been in in a while because they changed the management.
  • If Baroque is no longer "the" gay bar, try the all male barstaff "half Crown", famous for it's cheap meals, 100% male staff, don't ask for camp david, It's not the one where the US president goes for time off & It's not a cocktail! Try & spot Graham Norton. Leather hats, big moustaches & the ability to belittle the fairer sex always welcome, Monday- Sunday, check it out!
  • Baroque is a great place to be, especially now it's run by a straight crowd. No more women trying to pull each other. It's still pink though.
  • The sportsman ........... are you looking at my pint cos if you are it will get smashed in yer face
  • The twitchell or witherspoons as everyone else calls it is a nice place, but for the best value pub grub try the half crown on nottingham rd, 2 meals for a fiver and children eat for £1.50 each.
  • ah now yer talking, lots of these babies. last time i went was xmas last year and they haven't changed baroque, the old turks head, seems ok.
  • The Corner Pin - Watch out for broken glass and sawdust on the floor. The Blue Bell (a.k.a The Bass House)- Sunday nights pound to get in, £1 per pint all night, everyone who is everyone goes there - so get in early to blag a seat. Otherwise be prepared to sit on the floor. Baroque - Your friendly local gay bar. Bright pink, so take some sunglasses. Excellent friendly staff, always a good laugh to see the men dressed in drag comparing nail varnish. The Stillage - Oooh! watch out! bar prices through the roof. Good staff, but can get very quiet, good for pool, table football, video games and cocktails. Gets extremely busy on Thurs, Fri, Sat due to the amount of pre-clubbers who'll be in there. Next door to Minskys, so no need to walk too far in the cold. The Vic Inn - Local Family Pub, watch out for the netball and football teams. Excellent cheap drinks, Fri nights double spirit+any house mixer for just £1.90 of your cash. Be prepared to get very pissed, very very quickly.
