  • ha ha ha, you have to be joking. Loughborough's idea of art is a £20k statue of a bald man putting on a sock!
  • Sun Emporium for all your lava lamp type stuff. Purchased a handy thirst aid hat, the pinnacle of many nights out in Loughborough cept im always the one who ends up carrying it home. Good range of hairdye's as well, all colours. Make sure you find out when delivery day is as stocks seem to get rampaged pretty quickly by Loughboroughs rainbow heads.
  • The Generator Gallery (Art College) on Packe Street has interesting stuff, including photos of duck-farmers.
  • Titania, opposite Effies (girls be wary of the aforementioned place), sells some unusual stuff and if you're into Feng Shui they sell authentic crystals too.
  • Increasing number of art groups but they do tend to populated by people whose dads run the art college. Try "artspace" in a search engine.
  • There is a new shop on Market Street that sells inflatable aliens.
  • Grass Roots, just down the road to Left Legged, has all sorts of craft type junk and kids toys and expensive cards and is the town's only supplier of Crazy Color hairdye.
  • Grass Roots closed down either at the end of 1996 or beginning of 1997. There's not a lot to take its place.
  • We have Pies which are Pukka
