Pubs
- The BIRD IN HAND pub on the main roundabout of the A600 is a 'hotel'.
- Bird-in-Hand on the Roundabout where locals all appear to be ex-RAF. You can pitch up anytime but don't expect to be served as the Ronnie the Landlord likes to be the other side of the bar, if ya know what I mean...if you do eventually get served the reception is hardly welcoming! Best nights are probably every second Monday for the Pool League (they are crap but the crack is good)and every Friday when the lads are allowed out...
Twist and Cheese - Not the Slaughtered Lamb anymore! Off the beaten track and now under new management; a lovely couple by the name of Keith and Cath who have had the pub for around 18 months (they previously made a success of the Bird-in-Hand, a blinking miracle if you ask me). Anyone is more than welcome in the Twist, the pool team is pretty pants but they try hard and are a good crowd. I tried the place a few weeks ago and had a memorable Saturday.
- The Twist & Cheese, Fakeswell Lane. Every seen the "American Werewolf in London" when the two american's walk into the Slaughtered Lamb. Same reception here
