• Darkness...well three of them lived here, and played in bands for few years- but have never ever played Lowestoft and claim to be from London in the press- (they did their homecoming gig in London. Guys from "A" who did the fantastic "Nothing" single are from around this area- Played locally in various bands for years- born in Wrentham i believe tho- And then there is D-void local metal band who had success, did video and played at Download festival with metallica, Linkin park, Slipknot etc- They have been playing in the local music scene for years- they played with Iron Maiden when their band was called Fifth Season- a friend of mine saw them and was freaked out as he didn't know they were supporting and just saw them come on stage at Nottingham Concert hall- funny- as he had seen them play at The Brewery (Lowestoft pub/venue) about a week before!! jason aarnopp is a journalist who used to be Editor of Kerrang! magazine for a while before getting booted out a few years back- he came from lowestoft and his dad is a local guitar teacher- he also did a crap book about the Darkness which was funny as a lot of the facts were wrong!!
