  • cineworld aint anything but a standard cinema, nothing special but it does the job. Go on bargain tuesdays, you might have to dodge the little teenyboppers but least you dont have to pay full price. a word of warning though-smuggle your own food and drinks in-its like 5 pound for a regular cola.
  • the galaxy in town, good facilities, arcade and restaurants.
  • galaxy galaxy is great it has a great deal of eveything xxx
  • Cineworld in the Galaxy. Standard cinema, but the staff are muppets. I've been told there's a cinema in Luton Library, but I think that's kinda random.
  • galaxy down town
  • St George's cinema plays a good range of intelligent cinema but doesn't open at weekends, which is no use whatsoever. (See 'music venues')
  • The multiplex is lawless. Best to wait and see if films make it to the far superior St Georges Theatre, who put on 'virtually on video' presentations in often tropical and/or arctic conditions.
  • Galaxy ok but often full of loud bury parkers
  • galaxy
  • I loved the ABC what was the cannon and what became the Odeon for a bit and then virgin. I miss the usherettes. They were brill...saw my first film there....what was it...ah, "Look Who's talking".
  • Avoid the cineworld on a saturday afternoon unless you are going to watch an 18 certificate film. The Luton kids are legendary.
  • Cineworld is quite good, prices usual multiplex level however. Reasonable sized screens unlike (for example) the 'new' Broadway in Letchworth.
  • The Galaxy is very handy now. The old ABC cinema provides many memories, shame its gone as McDonalds was always your treat afterwards seen as its just across the road, galaxy cant beat that!!!!
  • Brilliant. Such choice. I can't understand why Lutonians were so bloody shocked and outraged when the old cinema was closed due to the Galaxy being built. What are they on?
  • The ABC has closed -it's the Galaxy or nothing. Not bad, a little pricey for my tastes though.
  • Galaxy centre is good.
  • The ten screen cinema in the Galaxy is good (but I do prefer the one in MK as it has the luxury screens!)
  • Galaxy centre........Is there any where else??
  • Tuesday cheap night at the Galaxy
  • no thanks get a video at blockbusters its cheaper
  • £10 will get you a ticket, popcorn and a drink, but no change at the multiplex. For atmosphere and cheap prices, try the place in the town centre.
  • The old cinema (ABC, staffed by a couple of elderly lesbians) is fairly dreadful. It has a bar with loads of orange lights in serving warm lager, and they wonder why people don't use it. The new place is great especially with the bowling alley and video games.
  • The present cinema is small, and doesn't show decent films for long, but a new 10 screener is being built.
  • 'The Glaxay' has just opened in Luton. It's a huge out of town style entertainment centre, but it's smack bang in the middle of Luton. It houses Brannigans, JD Weatherspoons (The White House), Fatty Arbuckles, Namco Station (a 10-pin centre/games arcade etc) and Cineworld, the multiplex cinema.
  • ABC Fleapit- None of your new fangled multi-plex's for us.
