- Loads of pubs in the two towns, Lynmouth is a great place to have a pint in the summer while sitting on the sea wall with your partner, Lynton is pretty quiet but you can have some bloody good nights when you least expect them. Want a nightclub? try Barnstaple (20 miles to the West on the A39). Other pubs around Lynton and Lynmouth are 'The Beggars Roost' in Barbrook, the 'Exmoor Sandpiper' (Formally the 'Blue Ball') in Countisbury, the 'Rockford Inne' in Rockford! (which is full of local farmers), and the 'Staghunters' in Brendon. They are all fairly quiet but get the right night and you'll have a ball.
