• Angels, Macclesfields latest venue (used to be purgatory). Thsi venue has been done up and is well nice inside. The vanue is Macclesfields superior venue. Miss Moneypenneys, Hed Kandi have all been here. Maccstock is now at this location.
• None, all have closed down. Last decent place was the Queens, but they did it up and now its a shirt and tie affair. Whatever you do, NEVER go to Cuba, it's crap and full of 12 year olds.
• Cuba (poo bar?!) providing a liberal amount of ale has been consumed prior to entry its actually quite a good night
• A friend of mine moved down from Manchester to spend an eight week placement at Macc hospital. Excited at the prospect of donning her dancing shoes in a different town, she enquired of the nurses at the hospital "Where's a good place to go out round here?". Pondering her question briefly they replied "Manchester". Nuff said.
• Wetherspoons to start, the straight to the litten tree on the weekends. Best way. Thursdays its Wetherspoons then cuba, but i hope u like sweat and expensive drinks.... oh and moshers. I just get really drunk so i don't notice. U get ur bad boys that have been barred from everywhere else, in chicago Rock on a saturday nite or occasionally preachers. But thats where ur gran probably goes.

• PREACHERS!......club? just about. A fine selection of local knuckle scrapin' hairy backs in here, tuckin into their chicken in a basket before strutin like a group of electrocuted mongoose on the dance floor, great for people watchin and tongue in cheek (and mouth) boozey nights out!

• Macclesfield is currently dying a death. Probably a long and protracted death, with many apparent ressurections, but an inevitable death all the same. How many pubs/clubs/bars can one town support? The answer in Macclesfield is about half the amount it currently has. If you go into the town during the evening the common factor is a host of empty places and about 2 full ones. The full ones being the newly opened ones. Why doesn't someone see that Macc has a limited clientele and not open a brand new bar/club and then act upset when it closes. I should open a consultancy on the matter, with a simple message for clients - 2000 people divided by 20 venues = 100 people per venue. Capacity of venue = 500 therefore club/pub = doomed to fail! As has been pointed out before the owner/licensee also often seems to invite in Macc's youngest looking revellers. Here's another fact from the consultancy - young looking reveller = shallow pockets = low income = bottle of vodka in car park = lack of control = trouble = Macc at 1am! We wouldn't have it any other way!
• HA HA HA clubs in macc.... ha ha ha... don't make me laugh... we have got Bar Cuba.. or Cuban Nights as it has now been re-named... that's like a rock place dude... uha.....then there is MSQ... ahh i went in the other week.... well it was full of the same crowd, and i felt REMARKABLY old in comparison to the other patrons.... and i'm not that old!! if you catch my drift!! Now then NEWS FLASH we have PERGATORY.... yeah the new super club that alledgedly is in a wee bit of trouble due to fire restrictions... ahem!! yeah it's great in there.. the cheesiest music around and the youngest skirt i've seen in a while, let alone the shortest... ahem and of course all above the legal age limit!
• Preachers is good for a fun night out with loads of wierd but on the whole friendly people. Be careful what you pull though or you might have a nasty surprise in the morning! Cuba(now Cuban Knights) is quality, steer clear of Purgatory because the boucers are arseholes and it is shite anyway.
• Never been in, but I have it on good authority to stay well clear of Preachers - unless you fancy ending up with some soon-to-be-divorced,'honest, he's on the rigs' mother of 9 with an orange face and a body ravaged by nicotine and Bacardi Breezer.
• I'm absolutely gutted - they've knocked down Silklands. Spent far too much time in that place in my teens.
• The MINISTRY OF SQUEEZE (aka main squeeze) quality night out on a friday. Full of talent. Also Purgatory is a good nite with some quality tunes on show.

• the underground is the place to go for metal heads, it has a band and its really hot and a great hook up place trust me i know. for the people who think they are a bit different then they should go here coz u will fit in just right.
• Cream, Gatecrasher, Ministry, Sundissential and Gods Kitchen now all have weekly events in Macc they're calling it the British Ibiza. cuba sucks, the main squeeze wanks and everywhere else wouldn't know how.

• From having none 10 years ago, we have now got loads of clubs and late bars. Cuba's good for bands and try's it's best to get Macc on the map. Preachers is great if you're over 40 and want to wake up in the morning with the ugliest person you've ever seen, and the rest are average. Down point is that most of the people who run the late establishments have got their heads stuck up their own arses. You know who you are"no trainers, no jeans" Fuck off you idiots, I'm spending my money I'll wear what I want....

• main squeeze is always worth a laugh if you're absolutely shitfaced, tip, if selina won't let you in first time because you're too pissed just go round the corner and swop clothes with your mate. she never notices.
• The Underground!!! Smokey little place but they provide entertainment in the form of great lesser-known local bands, I.e. Production G and VOID!!! Full of Moshers and similar delights, It's a cool hangout and free to get in, worth the look if you're into that sort of scene.
• I often dream of killing everyone in Macclesfield in Saurday nights tooled up with a shotgun. But seriously... every club in Macclesfield should be torched.

• The Main Squeeze...or the main cheese as we say. Used to be OK when they first opened it, good bouncer who knew if you were likely to cause trouble or not and let you in if you looked cool. Now they play shite music (phat's and pissing small played for God's sake!?!?!) and the Irish bitch bounceress, Celine. Only lets you in if you are under 20, despite having a supposed 21yr old policy. Yeah mate, if you stuck to that you'd have about 15 people in every Friday night. You now also have to wear a gay-boy uniform of shiney shirts and trousers and shoes. Why is it that if you go to a decent club like Planet K or Generation X you can wear whatever, but when you visit a piss hole like this you have to dress like some batty-boy-townie. Creates loads of attitude and there's no induviduality, man.
