- Go to manchester FOPP is always worth a look, if they don't have it or can't get it just give up!!!!!!!
- Sifters in Fog Lane, Burnage is a great second hand record shop. It's on the bus route to Manchester
- Music zone sells the best new tunes. Got all sorts and if your even looking for an old track you'll defo find it!!
- Records shops are not teh best thing in Macclesfield. the only place is music zone but material is limited to chart shit.
- Everywhere's closed down cept Music Zone. it's good value, but there's hardly any decent choice, its just the same cds week after week. If you want cds go to manchester, loads of choice there.
- MusicZone, cheap as chips and a good selection.
- Musiczone
- hmv. wkd music and stuff, expensive but w/e
- Sifters in Burnage is just a ( one hour ) bus ride away...great second hand selection..
- A+A in the market has sadly since closed down and moved to Congleton so the only record shop left in Macc is Music Zone above Macdonalds.
- 10 years ago, Macc almost had too many record shops, you were spoilt for choice. Now there aren't any real ones, only WHSmith, Woolies and MZTD, which is fine, so long as you aren't looking for anything more Indie than Franz Ferdinand or anything more Irish than the Chieftans.
- we aint got a record shop in macclesfield at the moment. A+A music shut over a year ago. lennie got transfered to the branch at congleton. go and see him and say hello. i know it meens going to congleton but he is still a top bloke.
- Music Zone basically
- a+a
- Woolworths bargain bin, got some Diana King, 112, Lemar, you name it you got it.
- erm, does amyone remember imagine?or omega,as i think it was called?used to b where the vodafone shop is on the in door market....was the only good record shop in macc
- MANCHESTER VIRGIN RECORD STORE MARKET STREET
- hmmmmm...DO NOT go 2 music zone.....they can never be arsed 2 look 4 a cd u want n cant find...arn't them d 1z workn???
- Music Zone has good albums but i go to Manchester for my singles! we need a decent record shop god damn it!
- na ah u av 2 go manc 4 a gd record shop, i spose music zone duz d odd fantastic deal.
- Okay so recently we have had this discount record place by the side of Maccy D's but c'mon the best in the world has to be the one in the indoor market with the fat old guy with his ciggy hanging out of his mouth.. ahh bless!
- Music Zone .... Cheap , top quality CD's .... best place to go for CDs in town
- the indoor market have a great shop called a&a they sell pretty much any music even all the old n classical stuff. Then there is music zone at the top of mac donalds, this is a good shop, don't go to woolies coz its naf but the other two are pretty tech.
- A&A, Tilly works there who is related to Mr Methane. I cant even begin to describe how important this is.
- IMPULSE ARE TAKING FOREVER WITH THAT STOCK COUNT
- A&A IN THE INDOOR MARKET SELL HOODIES AND T-SHIRTS AND CAN ORDER ALMOST ANY THING MUSIC WISE YOU COULD NAME IT IS VEREY GOOD!
- the one on top of maccy d's
- a&a is pretty good and len is a bit of a beaut, no vinyl anywhere now slipped disk has gone broke
- the great little place on the indoor part of the grosvenor centre, sells reasonably priced band tops and you will also find good CD's at nice prices if you dig deep enough, they will get it for you cant see what you are looing for.
- omega records
- there is not much chance of Hectic House returning, but the macc lads sorted out a USA tour about a year ago, practiced like fuck, went in suits, got turned away and were back in macc 2 days later because some bastard told the americans who they were.
- a&a
- Why is Omega music now named after a girls deodorant. Gay.
Go to Music Zone above McD's cos it's 9.99 for a CD, but go to Slipped Disk on Chestergate aswell cos it's also cheap, it's got a cool name and you gotta keep the independant shops going.
- The one above McDonalds
- regents
- Hectic House was once an excellent shithouse, only because it was run by the Macc Lads. Can someone from Macc let us know what's happening. Is Muttley still drinking in 'The Bears Head'. I travelled up a couple of times to your lovely town, just for a few pints in the 'Bears'.
- Omega music is now called impulse. I think it is just a name change as they still stock the same stuff.
- omega music - good selection good prices
- there aint many since margin and hectic house closed down, probably omega then since the one in the market has NEVER had anything I want and can never GET anything I want either!
- Slip Disk on chestergate sell a lot of vinyl, including second hand stuff. Also do cd's.
Margin Music unfortunately no longer records but do still sell decks, mixers, keyboards etc.
- The Omega music store in the indoor market thingiee??...
- The music shop in Macclesfield, where absolutely everyone goes is Omega Music, in the Grosvenor centre. Every band in the country, and more.
- Margin Music are superb - they stock everything music-wise with a fair bit of emphasis on the Macc Underground scene. They're also major stockists of DJ equipment 'n' stuff like that.
- A&A in the indoor market (the Grosvenor Arcade) does second hand stuff, but that's about it for anything out the ordinary, now that Margin's stopped with the recorded music.
- Omega Music - excellent staff and excellent range A&A Music, indoor market, - best (only) vinyl selection in town
