10 year old Emma has had surgery for Scoliosis and is now campaigning to raise awareness of the condition and for all children in the UK to have the very simple 'bend forward' test to get an early diagnosis of Scoliosis. She has an online petition at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/start-testing-for-scoliosis-in-schools. Emma is aiming for 1000 signatures and currently has just short of 300... I'd like to see this figure go through the roof!!! This is an issue close to my heart as my son was diagnosed with adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis at 16 and had surgery last november when he was aged 18 and a half. Many thanks! Hello, i will shortly be moving to macclesfield as i have been offered a job there. i was wondering if anyone can tell me what macclesfield town is like, but by that i mean what is it really like? i'm from west london so i am used to trendy bars, cocktail bars, great clothes shops etc - am i going to be disappointed by Macclesfield? any help at all would be great. thanks. Since Alistair left Cuban Knights and the bright young things now frequent the place, where do you all you people that used to go there and to Knights Bar go now for a decent Saturday night out in Macc? I can't see many of you ending up on Creatures unless you've got your cattle prods to hand! I didn't get to Cuban Knights as often as I would have like, but I must admit, when I was able to get there I used to have a damn good time! Also wasn't it great to be able to see some good bands there such as The Damned, some of our local bands are really good too and need to be seen too, but where now???
