• Fluid isnt the same with the same djs. I dont know what the management are doing there! Couldnt manage a knees up in a night club. The music is awful, the atmosphere is terrible! the place could do with a good clean, its probably unhealthy to go there... i hate the place, im not going there again

• Apollo in Commercial Street is the best place to go by far. Check out the live acts on a Thursday Night and its ONLY £1.50 FOR ANY DRINK in the club on Saturday. Oh and the music is good too!
• Fluid is the best place to I reckon. The music is good. They cater for all ages and the beer is real cheap to. Need I say more...
• The Star is being taken over by new owners at Easter. There'll be a new feel there. DJs playing 80's 90's and music from today. And the cheapest drinks on that side of town. Fluid is the best after the star.

• The Star is a great place good music, not too pricey and its for any ages from young adults to kinda old but not too old! The Prince is a good place too and Apollo goooood Music! Fluid Druid, Not the best of places in Maesteg but the music kinda drags lol good on a saturday night though!
• You have a choice of 2 night clubs in Maesteg, Fluid and Apollo but basicly, you are guarenteed a good night anywhere that All Funk'd up play!!! Currently, they are hosting Friday nights in Apollo and are having some great parties there with some top name DJ's, music policy alternates between funky and hard and you also get a great mix of people who are just out to enjoy themselves.

• for a good night out in maesteg start off in tthe king alf 4 a couple then move onto the star(this is where you'r night gets more livly) then come 10 o clock you can decide whether you want to go to fluid or apollo.both exellent!! fluid is great on saturdays and sundays where as apollo plays awsum music on a friday!(apollo is more appealing to younger adults where as fluid is better for the older generation)
• Apollo is definitely the new place to be seen in town. The new owners have made it sooooo cool. Did you see the Trophy Twins and Cally and Juice there? Awesome. Cheaper and cleaner than Fluid and you get fresh beer that isn't watered down. Saturday nights are picking up - Paul the DJ is brilliant and Jon behind the bar is a good laugh. Look out for the new owners daughter, Charlotte - you won't regret it!
• APOLLO IS NOW OFFICIALLY THE BEST CLUB IN THE AREA. Not only do they have celebrity DJs every Friday night but the best Flares party in the Club on a Saturday. Whats more they offer free bubbly for the best retro outfit on a Saturday. The owners are great - really friendly and their daughter is a real babe! Worth going to Apollo on a Friday or Saturday just to see her!!!!!!!

There are positive things to be said about it without resorting to abuse and BAD, BAD spelling. Another moot point: If you hate the place so much, then why do you still live there and whine on about it on this site. You may find if you move away for a short time, you actually learn to appreciate the place a great deal more.
• Only Fluid which will close down in two years. Apllo 2, which will also closed down soon. Unless the locals start enjoying themslves and stop proving that they have to be bigger and harder than anyone else, the night life will remain dull.

This Club Has Been Know To Play the Teletubbies Song GREAT!!! And What Could Be More Fun To End A Perfect Night Out Then A Good Fight Outside The Nightclub. Maesteg Borough Also Lays On Free Taxis And Handcuffs And Free Hotel Room For The Night At One Of Her Majesty's 4 Star Hotels. The Lobby Offers An Excellant Package For The Night Includeing Your Belongs Being Looked After In The Safe. Admire The Artwork Of Biro On The Walls. A Single Room For The Night Is Abh. The bird if you like to dance in dope smoke and gett blow jobbed by the many gayas there or you could go and get a few cans and listen to some cool tunes in the house as thats much better than anything around this shit valley

• The Bird is the only place to go on a Friday or Saturday Night, it's not the best but it's all that the Skinflints of Maesteg Deserve, I used to work behind the bar and all you ever hear is moan, moan , moan- and the most frequently asked question is HOW MUCH???. Maybe If some of the Pillocks and Roid boys could behave for a change the place would not be in such a shape. Watch this space the 147 Snooker club maybe opening as a super club - hopefully if the old moaners on the fromt of the gazzette bog off. also there are rumours of Wetherspoons coming to the Queen Vic
• At all costs avoid The Star and The Bird in Hand. Both shit and both full of wankers.
• Not as many workingmens clubs as there used to be. The ones that still exist are still cheap but won't put up with drugs!. Pubs seem to have taken over.
• Bird is a pile of shit. So is Star. For a good night out, try the Sawyers on a Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
• A new club on the scene called "Big Boy" randomly plays cracking hip-hop and some garage tunes to the revelling clubbers delights. It is located where the old cellar acfe used to be , open only on a friday 10 til late (and I mean very late) Bop til u drop!!
• The star has recently been revamped and is now called the music emporium with a resident DJ "Dangerous" DAI HICKS. Crappy music with loads of monged out wankers listening to hardcore.
• As for clubs, there is the Bird, a cheesy nitespot playing all those chart tunes popular with locals. The D.J. Never seems to have any decent music and there isn't that much variety. It is therefore a good idea to get extremely laggered before entering the dancefloor. Best nearby nightlife is Barons and Central Park in Swansea (on Wednesdays and Thursdays respectively).
