• In the winter of we used 2 jus all go oin big groups lukin 4 trouble kids ranging from 12-17 would meet up on the King George feiled by the meadows pub and get pissed/stoned up 2 r eyeballs and You will frequntly find you self being ridulculed by young yobs if you walk past! in the summer all the kids hang around ina gangs and get leggas n tha round the station n murnders is da place 2 be everyone gets pissed n smashed and gt leggas off the polica hu try an chase ya way
• moornders haha!young kids frm 12-16 gettin legless all screaming n shotuing heaving tha park used to be going in bushes wif ladz for da odd snog haha!! running away wif ya mates into bushes to have a wee wid ya voda bottle or running frm da plod trying to keep ya self from gettin niked ahah they were da funny dayss scaffin ya biffs and the ladz finking there ard trying to get a weed n get stondd haha!all the gurlz getting the ladz jakets coz der cold n all da gurlz used to bring glow sticks ut n wen it got darkk used to lite up n gettin loadz pics on ya cam looking propa rufff haha they r funny days in maghull enyway tha is bout maghull still kids r out now doinggg it wish i cud go bak to them dayss bye bye xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
• Balls Wood wasn't in Maghull - it was still Melling there Im afraid (although I DID drink cider......among other things) -if you were REALLy stupid afterwards , you could go and tease the cocky's dogs at the pumping station up the road (Entertainment in Melling). This was all incidentally rather before skateboards; choppers and grifters were what WE wrecked in Balls wood.....There was a bike shop in Rainbow drive, Melling that opened for three hours every month or so, where we got our bits from. When we got bored , we'd go down to the swingy (swingbridge) just down from Melling Rock and tease the farm dogs (is there a pattern forming here?)
• Sandy lane park good place to be on a friday night in the summer, bottle of cider and get chased by the bizzies what more could you want. In fact every park and other places like outside the town hall or at the back of the square.
• Balls Wood - used to be pretty cool with the 15 year old cider drinkers
• The canal was a frequent hook-up spot....we frequently found ourselves jumping into it!
