Maldon sea salt by bruce smith (Member 10029368) on 21-Mar-2006
why does this expensive sea salt cost $8 a packet?
  • Re: Maldon sea salt by A. Wright (Member 10233506) on 20-Nov-2008
Probably because it is, as far as I know, the only Salt Works remaining on the River Blackwater.
Also the Taste and quality of the salt produced.

Family History Research by Jean Gray (Member 10114018) on 21-Feb-2006
I enjoyed a visit to the Maldon area, including Bradwell and Tillingham in my reasearch for my Family Tree, unfortunately did not find much in the little time I had. I am searching the Surnames COOTE and MOSS from these areas.
  • Re: Family History Research by A. Wright (Member 10233506) on 20-Nov-2008
I realise that it is some time since this message was posted about the Coote family in Maldon.
I used to play with a lad named Roy Coote born approx 1941/2 who lived in Wantz Road, Maldon and later in St.Giles Cresent.
If you think this of interest to you I would willingly try to find him again.
I think he had a sister called Sandra,

    regards,

    Tony

I found this old message about the surname Rudlen. I'm doing some family history at the moment and have links to the Rudlen family of Heybridge/Maldon. Elizabeth Rudlen (1839-?) was my great great grandmother. I have some further info on this family and details of Bright family (her married name) contact me misssauvignon@aol.com

Hmmm. Seems like you took my advice and visited your doctor Moscowman. You don’t seem to have this complex that everyone is moaning about something. Now, all you have to do is get this fixation with houses cured and you’ll be fine.

    Hi Benny.
I am a paranormal Investigator based in Maldon and I am researching into supposed paranormal hotspots in the town and around the local area. If it really was the Fat man of Maldon you saw, this could be interesting. Could you be more specific as to where you saw him, road name or local landmark ect.
