Cheap Food
- Highly recommended Thai food at the "Golden Hammers", in Plashet Grove, Upton Park. - Just round the corner from Upton Park tube. Slightly rough-and-ready decor - The place is a greasy spoon by day and a Thai restaurant at night. Service is friendly and food is not only cheap but best Thai I've had in London.
- Anyone for fried chicken or Kebabs? its typical East End - ie choose from Dixie Chicken, Dixy Chicken (fantastic value. Everybody who is served is called "boss" for some reason)There are countless other Fried Chicken Places. You won't find a Fish and Chip shop for miles other than Colafrancesco's near East Ham. I reccomend Manor Kebabs (they let me off 'cos I was over a quid short after forgetting that I had spent so much down the pub!) and Naz's Kebabs:that fella (presumably called Naz) is in there 24-7 and produces an excellent donner.
