You can tell us more about March.

Cheap Food
  • Everywhere is pretty cheap in March!
  • USA chicken, March Kebabs, Chilli Hut, Eastern Promise,
  • As before Tiffanys best value for money. The Italian Job do a good offer on weekends for a buffett style meal its good, fresh and not too expensive. The Chippy on the High street is the best and i think one of the cheapest in march opposite King William.
  • Shah Jahan Indian Restaurant - All you can eat on Sundays!
  • If only we had a wetherspoons! PLenty of takeaways in town and a lot of the pubs do decent pub grub. The plate and porter has to be the classiest restaurant (in fact the only classy restaurant) but you`ll pay for the privelege
  • diana tandoori is the best indian in march, if you want spit in your food go to the balti house! no really!!! march kebab is the best takeaway as you get to see your food being cooked! chilli hut/ eastern promise are sick! enough said!!!

  • good
  • Hammer & Anvil with new landlords Mick & Alison serve good food lunchtimes except MONDAYS) and wed thru to SAt evenings
  • Fine Fenland fodder in the shape of pukka pizzas from March kebab shop next to the Jobcentre; order the 12" March Special and enjoy...
  • there are too many takeaways! Shaj jahan (indian), purple crystal (chinese), kabab shop, chilli hut (most things!), leonardos (pizza), cantonese something or other (chinese), royal china (chinese)..loads more!
  • The George Inn now does a good menu
  • March used to have(up to circa 1975) more chip shops and pubs per head of population than anywhere I've ever been.
  • Chinese - Purple Crystal (expensive, but nice) || Indian - the one by the river (much nicer than the one that had a car smash through it's front window) || Pizza - Leonardo's (take away) does good pizza - free delivery || Pub food - The Acre or the Stars are probably your best bets
  • The Plate and Porter resturant in station road is a fantastic place, both for an intimate dinner for 2 and for your grannies 90th. Matthew the owner is a great chef and has been trained by some of the chefs who appear on Ready, Steady Cook and the BBC Food and Drink programme. Their sticky toffee pudding is articularly yummy.
  • The Balti House is a popular indian restaurant with a varied menu.there is also the Shah Jahan(indian) and Purple Crystal(chinese),both of which serve delicious food.
  • march christian bookshop, sandwiches , soups snacks coffee, yum! also whitehorse tavern, in the west end
