  • Seaside Shuffle @ The Westcoast Live 3-5 King Street, Margate, Kent CT9 1DD www.feenstra.co.uk / 0208 761 9078 Seaside Shuffle is an attempt to bring international tour bands, quality Rock/Blues acts and the best tributes to Margate. The new night open with the Groundhogs + Stray on Fri 3rd April and promises band ssuch as Albert lee, MT's Wishbone Ash, Carvin Jones and the Rollin Stoned!

  • The Lido.Margate. Qubar MargateBritt the Lido, Qubar Margate, a multitude of thorley establishment, and in the street if need be!! you will find we are very liberal and enjoy spontaneous bursts of random creativity
  • Lido has rock bands on afriday night usually. the winter gardens has bigger events though.. i think westlife have been there and if there not celebs, who is??!!

  • The dreaded Lido of course. The clientle are from 16+ but I must say there are pretty good with stopping the young-uns at the bar. Full marks for that. But there are always ways around things
  • Waverly Bar in the High-Street. VIKINGS OF STEEL RULE!!!
  • try and catch 'The Labels' playing as they are the best thing in the way of original music to come out of Thanet.
  • the bellevue northdown road,used to be a serious fighting boozer without music, now has live bands.
  • any place that is not owned by Mr Thorley.... ie Brittania, Metz bar,not alot but if you want a good night go to Canterbury.
  • the winter is great for percformences and its getting better, a little while ago they had mis-teeq and they put on a great show.
  • lido-cheesy coks and nu-metal, no decent dub or crustty sine departure to london of klueless klive,jim and obie the dog, even mike bishops party's are no more,thats a pity-mac
  • see clubs! the lido and also some decent gigs at the wintergardens!
  • The Lido in Cliftonville is still very much alive with live music. There are bands there every Friday, and some Sundays. The Millenium Bar 2, near the punch is also putting on live bands. If you do want uptodate info on exactly which bands are playing where, go to www.oonagi.co.uk This is a site dedicated to live alternative music in Thanet, run by the local yokals themselves. God damn, I love live music!!!!!

  • If you are accompanied the Britannia is cool, otherwise its the Winter Gardens. We have had The Levellers, Shed Seven, and other fairly big groups do PA's here. Also we are expecting a festival in the summer at St. Georges School with PA's from several MAJOR dance and mainstream acts. Details will follow when the promoters let us all in on the line up.

  • The lido, for live bands some local some from anywhere in the world you can think of. The Waverley (bottom of high street nr woolworths)jam night with local bands playing their own music, or The britania jam night with anyone who feels like having a go, mainly covers. Both are on a thurs eve from about 9 onwards.
  • Definitly escape on the seafront it's just had a £500,000 refit and is looking in top shape for the future
  • Ha you must be joking, alough the lido in cliftonville used to have live bands on the weekend but not sure anymore. the one next to the old bill is good.
  • Go to the Winter Gardens or The Brittania both are currently heavily promoting th band scared as they are making it big so it is possible you could catch these tuneful indie rockers at a place near you...
  • BRITTANIA with the fantastic host band Scared who are currently getting a record deal
