Hi Paul, I'm sorry I can't help you with your seek, but I'm looking for a person called Dane O'Connor. I know he has two brothers, one of them called 'Paul', I won't mention the other brother's name as we're in a public forum and he's not directly involved. I know Dane's parents did run a hotel for a while near Margate, though I don't know if it is the hotel you mentioned. Your age seems to fit, provided that you were his elder brother. May be it's just a coincidence, but if you think you know something I would appreciate very much to know: My GF and him were friends when they were children, and she's thoroughly trying to find him without any success so far. Sorry for the possible mistakes, English is not my first language. ... more >>

Hi again Paul, thank you very much indeed for your quick answer. I've just told these news to my GF, called Macarena, and she's so excited that she can't even type anything, so I will do it for her :-). She wants me to give you some additional data so Dane can remember things, because he was just a child at that time (in the 70s).
She says that, until they lost contact, Dane was almost her brother, and he was loved by her and her two sisters called Estrella and Paloma in the days he lived in Madrid (Spain). She was nanny Josefina's niece (Josefina's nickname was "Pepita" and was in charge of Dane). Macarena's father was called Victor (or papá Victor) and her mother is called Maite. There was another old person called "yaya Tere" who was Macarena's grandmother and he might remember. As far as she can remember, Dane's favorite puppet was called Paula or Paul.
Here there are some old pictures he might remember too:

Macarena also wants to tell Dane that those were the happiest days of her life, Dane was her first and best friend and she would be really, really happy to be able to contact him again. Macarena can be contacted by using her e-mail address:
macarenarojo@gmail.com
And she's got a Facebook page too:
http://www.facebook.com/macarenarojo
Thank you again for your answer, Paul, and once you can contact Dane I think they can chat by e-mail or whatever they want :-), it would be nice! ... more >>

Does anyone know who the organist might have been who played for a friend's funeral a couple of years ago at Thanet Crematorium? He was brilliant; all I know is that someone said he didn't live in Thanet and came a long way to play there.
