• The one-and-only, the original jitty after which all other jitties are named. This now connects the executive residences of Heath Road and Spinney Hill. Its name is derived from jité, the 12th century Norman word for the ancient trade route that passed through the spot. It was written of by the Venerable Bede and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. King Richard III was said to have passed by on the way to his death at Bosworth Field and our present Queen laid the foundation stone of the fine tarmacadam surface during her Golden Jubilee celebrations. It is currently being considered for Heritage Site status.
• The benches in the square, the public toilets, the steps behind the youth wing and the high school canteen are often inhabited with local youths. There are also designated places for youngsters to play, down Heath Road, the park and between York Close and Stanley Road.
• SK8 BMX PLACES The park. In the main park there is a little concrete dip where u can drop in and mayb do a 180 ollie up the other side and cum back down agen. There r also sum dirt jumps in the woodland area 4 BMXers in the woodland areas....... dont worry u dont get kicked out :D The Primary Shool. There is a big tarmac playground with sum bins 2 ollie over and sum steps 2 grind on. Dont get in2 trouble.... there IS CCTV
