  • Henry, need i say anymore. If you've visited the sugar loaf there is a very good chance that you've met this local legend! Always drunk and stepping out infront of cars. Henry is quite an old man that does nothing other than drink. Great o'l boy thou! Always friendly, just watch out for his karate chop!!!!! =D *BAYSIDE DOGGERS!*
  • One of the pointless dancers out of Shoddywaddy is always in The 'Loaf.
  • Alex Best, wife of George.
  • Robin has now got a job working as an entertainer on a cruise ship. good luck and well done rob!
  • Thomas cook started the first organised trips. They were from Market Harborough to Leicester. What fun!!
  • Lets see....Martin Johnson (he was actually born in solihull not MH), Edgar Mobbs (another famous England rugby star and a WW1 hero), Charles 1st AND Cromwell stayed here (before and after naseby respectively), Thomas Cook, Rosemary "fitness queen" connely, Plus it is also mentioned in Blackadder cavalier years, the fast show (yes honestly it was) and countless history programmes.

  • Billy Kimpton: ex road sweeper: Harborough wouldn't be the same without Billy and his cheery smile,chat and song. Annoying as hell (and a big head as well)
  • Etienne Dutoy went on to present QVC act in the West End and has since appeared in three episodes of Eastenders and just finishing working on a new film as an actor with Bruce Robinson (of Withnail and I fame ) After appearing in two shows at the bequest of John Dexter before he died he worked with Anthony Hopkins and Ian Mckellan and recently worked with Tinge Krishnan (Channel 4) BAFTA winner for best short film !!!
  • Andy Peake, formerly of Leicester City, Charlton & Middlesborough was born here & Rosemary Conley lives in a surrounding village
  • Jimmy Nail proportedly used to be a resident. Charles 1st lodged in the Bell in shortly before the Battle of Naseby (it might have been after?) Other than that no one that exiting.
  • Aaron Moore of Top Funksters " Volcano the Bear " used to live in Harborough.
  • Thomas cook was born here,and started his buisseness from here.Guy Fawkes also came here alot to meet out near desborough where they plotted the down fall off the goverment.
  • martin Johnson (of course), erm.....the girl who plays Caspar in the West End play is also from MH. Siobhan something.
  • The most famous person who lives in Market Harborough, as he is always in the Harborough Mail and he has done a lot of acting in the past few years. He was wonderful as the Baron in their last production of Cinderella, and so was the whole show. Personally i think robin will go far in life and become very famous indeed.
  • Martin Johnson. Born, raised and still lives in Harborough. In case you don't know he was the captain of the victoriuos British Lions Rugby Team in South Africa and also a regular in the England team. Thomas Cook (of travel agent fame) apparently. William Bragg winner of Nobel Prize for Physics at one point. Oliver Cromwell. Stayed in the town (the church I think) before the neraby Battle of Naseby in 1645.
