Buskers, Street Entertainers
- Alf
- We once had a lady who used to sit in front of Argos and play her keyboard (extraordinarily badly!) with a sign that says "Save The Strays". I haven't seen her in a while, but it's possible she might return with the warmer weather. Occasionally there is a man playing a steel drum who is very good, and sometimes an artist (who is VERY good) who draws wildlife pictures on the slabs in St. Mary's Place. The Verbeeck Street Organ can often be seen on Saturdays in The Square, and is fun at first, but after a while just becomes incredibly tedious.
- There is one C U Next Tuesday and he is drives a white van - you know who you are
- Postman Pat
- HENRY, Always in the sugar load, i can't believe he hasn't been mentioned yet? Great character and creates nightlife in harborough.
- HENRY the local pisshead
- Mrs Etherington is obsessed with wasting our poll tax on flowers.
- Mickey Adams - Leicester City FC manager
- billy kimpton
- henry- a safe old geeza. he wears a hat that says'henrt' he carries a walkin stick
- I Hear that former leader of the 'British Nazi Party' Dan Jordan lives on Chatsworth Drive.
- From my weekly trip to town on Saturdays I've noticed that Alex Wells is there- he's quite good in one-man-band standards. Give him 10p and he'll play you a song that you request.
- K, now Robin, he annoys me like hell, he already thinks hes famous, he cant be a popstar, hes more of a fake smiley pantomime person! So the only reason why Robin is famous, is because every1 is secretly laughing behind his back!
- Alex Wells can nearly always be found somewhere on the streets of Harborough with his one-man-band. When you give him 2p or something, say to him "Wells, wells, wells, who do we have here then?", and he'll play a special themetune of sorts.
- Alex Wells is always out and about doing something hilarious!
- I heard that the founder of the 'Dave Wells Club' Lives near Market Harborough.
- What ever happened to the brush man!?! He used to make and sell (very good quality!) brooms/sweeping brushes etc. My mum used to buy them when I was a kid. He would be around the sainsburies area and possibly cam door to door too?
- there was a tramp but he may be dead now....
- Don't forget the annoying big issue seller in st. mary's place who gives abuse if you choose to "walk on by"
- Steve Watts with his immaculate hair is always up for a laugh!
- The Harborough Band is quite amusing and plays fairly often. Harborough has OPEN DAYS, which to be quite honest are so Capitalistic it is unreal and bore half the town to tears. Especially those dreadful wo/men in Dog costumes. I ask WHY???
- Chris Church can always be seen jiggin his booty for coppers ib the main square, give him silvers and he'll strip.
- Every week sees a differant selection of buskers all arond the side steets especialy in manor walk and st marys place.
- They all come out the woodwork at late night shopping. Other than that one or two in st marys place.
- Often there's Buskers performing in St.Mary's Place .
- Now and again one of those silly men play a saw (yes the tool) and sometimes we also have an acordian player.
