Corner eateries, quick bites and the local chippy

You can tell us more about Marlow.

Cheap Food
  • wimpys full of polish people though
  • Not much for a fiver in Marlow, but I would recommend the Red Lion (West St) for good cheap pub nosh with a difference. And, contrary to a past post on the site, there IS a Mexican restaurant in Marlow - Pachanga, on West Street (next to Waitrose). It's fab!
  • Cheap, in Marlow? Whatever! For a snack best bet is Sainsbury's or Waitrose, Cafe Uno isn't TOO expensive, Wimpy is not what one might call decent food, but it is cheap.
  • There are a squillion restaurants, and about nine out of ten of them are Italian. Marlovians will all end up looking like pizzas!!
  • Tons. From Expensive Wimpy, Carners Kebab van to Jasmine Peking, Villa D'este. You can get pretty much any type of food in Marlow with the notable exception of Mexican. Glut of pizza/pasta places. Special mention goes out to Coach & Horses - a pub with chinese food. Respect.
  • Villa D'Este (Italian). The food and wine are excellent but the real stars are the waiters whose service is precise but amazingly witty.
  • Wimpy (craphole)
  • Zizi's - new Pizza place - fantastic and excellent value.
  • Da Ciros-stumbled upon by accident. Very small Italian-rustic with lots of atmosphere and accordian players thrown in (for some loose change!). Excellent food, polite friendly service. Reasonably priced.
  • Vill D'Este - good Italian - quite expensive Wok Wok - trendy Chinese Da Ciro's - another good Italian Jasmine - very good Chinese - quite expensive, but they do an "all you can eat" buffet for £10.00 on Sundays from 1.00-3.00 p.m. which is very good.
  • If you absolutely have to, the Wimpy.
