• Doncaster and Rotherham councils, neither one will take responsibility for Mexborough.
• 'The Lads' mentality that in numerous drinking dens gave wittness to numerous hammerings of totally innocent parties. Heroin and drink stealing away some really good guys at heart!

• today 31st december me joe clark and my brother jacob we were walking past the haunted tree down near adwick wen we saw the same girl who hung herself about 100 years ago a spirit of her she walked to the tree clim it tie a rope to one of the branches then round her neck and jumped off. all the way up to our home onvictoria road for instance i was riding my bike across the grass at the bottom of tenison avenue when i fell off my bike straight into the mud and my brothers brakes stoped working and his reflecter that i9s not that bad but whos to say wors could have happened and what else is weird when we crossed adwick road the bad luck stoped. so this is a warning to go to the haunted tree after sun down.
• the worst thing in mexborough is the haunted tree. today 31st of december 2006. me and my brother went past the haunted tree ever since then weve been havin bad look it is said if u stay at tree for 1 hour past 7 u can see the girl hang herself but every one whos actually have been said to see this rare sighting as never returned to there homes in one piec or has never speaken again.
• Excuse me for saying this but all your points on mexborough are absolutely WRONG!. I live in mexborough and believe me i should know alot more the only problems in mexborough are the over running figures of what we call "chavs". They things its hilarouis to graffiti on peoples houses, spit on peoples back if they dress differently, throw a load of random stuff at you. The only source of drugs is from them nobody else. Otherwise the place is like any normal place
• knowing that all the brite and intelligent people you went to school with are one of the following. Dead, Smacked up, Sprogged up, Stacking shelfs in tesco, or on the dole. you are expected to fail some most people do. mexb' folk sell themselves short. well done to anyone that doesn't fit this criteria.

• Mexbrough is full of inbreds. Every meet anyone at uni from Mexbrough? Na - me neither.

• Town centre is full of kids who seem to think that being a wanker is a career move. Also full of old women who change direction suddenly in Tescos and smack you in the knackers with there shopping bags.
• Prospect House Mexborough Comprehensive
• the seemable disliking of young kids who have spikey hair, big baggy jeans and ride about on bmx's, but hey i still like ya.
• Everything theres nothing, there are gunshots and gangs its dangerous to leave your house. 2 year olds can buy drugs.
• everything is crap in mexborough

• see above and subtract the good things...and then some.And realising that Doncaster Council are worse than Rotherham Council. Especially when it comes to hand-outs for bulding land!!! Guilty as charged.We have 01709 (Rotherham code), so let's get under Rotherham Council. At least they provide Christmas lights for the local community instead of lining their own pockets.

• Mexborough By-Pass and the damage it caused. The god-awful combination of Tesco and the Multi-storey carpark, if they hadn,t been built by dodgy architects and bent councillors (convicted)Mexborough would have more pubs!
• The railway crossing to Denaby. Although the good news is that a new bridge over the river and crossing is to be started this year. (2001) About time!
• Has to be the plant hotel this place is the only pub in mexborough that actuall does not have any alcoholic beverages over the christmas period (appart from half a bottle of taboo)
• Junkies
• The Liberal councillors false promises (no I am not a Labour person) Boy and Barrel dump (nuke it now)
• Having to leave to find fame and fortune (but not managing to)...we always come back

• They can't look after anything!
• you will not find a virgin after 13 years old? doncaster council taking all our money and giving us sod all in return we dont even get our roads gritted in winter.

• The fact that Mexborough always gret shafted by Doncaster council

• Waking up after lots of beer the night before and remembering you're in Mexborough. Mexborough Cricket Club losing. Ricky Scott achieving anything (the whole village gets to hear about it)
• Overall, Mexborough has nothing - no community spirit, no cinema, nothing for kids to do, nothing for adults to do. It amazed me that the people were so nice. Here in Katherine, Northern Territory, Outback Australia, there's heaps and heaps to do, but the people aren't anywhere near as nice as Mexboroians
