  • ermmm?
  • Non. New art gallery been built but that so Malaon can re apply for city status.. culture in middlesbrough is like finding a virgin in a brothel
  • They're building a New Art gallery next to the town hall...about as much as I know.
  • Not as fervent as Newcastle perhaps, but Middlesbrough, in its own right, does enjoy cultural highlights of its own. A smattering of museums and galleries, comprising mainly of the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art and the Dorman Museum, exist. Ironically, the greatest artistic attractions of the town come in what is scattered in the immediate vicinity of the Tees Valley, for which Middlesbrough is a well placed 'gateway'. Cultural ammenities at Newcastle, Sunderland, York and Leeds within the travelling vicinity, as is Billingham art gallery, Hartlepool art gallery and Kirkleatham Museum. Art college summer show retains its knack for the jugular.
  • The art college is one of a very exclusive contingent of such institutions remaining in Britain... has produced quite a few of the region's best known artists.
  • CCAD THE ART COLLEGE IS GOOD AND THERE ARE A FEW GALLERIES AROUND.
  • errr doman art gallery i think
  • Couple of Galleries, One near Linthorpe village, just opposite Central Park (a restaurant). But I don't know anything about it. Also Captain Cook is the town's biggest claim to fame (even though he wasn't actually born in the town) but Stewart's Park, home of the man himself's birthplace museum is South along Marton Road until you reach Marton.
