  • the georgian the studio ku bar the crown the empire the arena
  • just the town hall n occasionaly the cornerhouse. Middlesbrough music live's always a gud un for the moshers.
  • Manchester Evening News Arena
  • THE CRYPT AINT BAD BUT U KNOW HOW IT IS, IT DEPENDS ON THE BANDS
  • Town Hall has decent bands now and then - Stiff Little Fingers, The Damned, The Alarm - all in last year or so
  • Corner house and Town Hall get a good mix of quality and local bands but currently, Sep 2004, the Play night at the Empire is gettin my vote.
  • the crown borough rd
  • the crown on a thur nite!
  • The Empire. Also Middlesbrough Town hall has had some pretty big (although not to my liking) bands on.
  • The arena I think has had some decent bands play, and the Cornerhouse is where I've seen Aqualung and Shed Seven. Both of these places are fairly alternative from time to time. Just keep an ear out for the goss.
  • Hello, I work for a Leeds based promotions company, Beat Promotions and we are starting a night featuring new unsigned bands, tribute bands and hopefully signed acts and comedy nights. The first one is to take place on Thursday 18th December at Libertys in Town on Linthorpe Road then will continue every week from 7th January at the same venue. The bands on Thursday, all from Middlesbrough will be the increasingly popular Circle, Nemo and Superfly9. In the new year there will be bands from the Leeds music scene playing alongside local bands and as the business becomes more established we hope to create a circuit covering the north of England. I write in hope that you could feature us on your website and welcome somebody to come along and review the night should you wish to. Thank you for your time, Lisa Davis
  • the town hall and the cornerhouse(although they have been shite lately)the empire is pretty good

  • The rowing club in Durham- battle of the bands every month or so. Excellent.
  • 'PLAY' at the theatre (Empire) on Saturday nights is the BEST NIGHT OUT if you're into the stone roses and indie stuff. Stylish club with the best women on teesside.

  • THE CRYPT IN THE TOWN HALL
  • In the Boro? town hall was good but no one special place
  • Town hall, Charlatans, kicked arse!
  • Live bands at empire on a saturday night, occasionally some at the cornerhouse and sometimes decent bands in the town hall. Tribute bands at the Dickens Inn
  • There arent any really, a few pubs put shows on now and again, but check www.open-season.co.uk for local gigs in boro..
  • feel the noise. stockton
  • The Arena and Cornerhouse
  • whatever took the place of the rock gsrden aint too bad cant rememebr its name
  • the corner house is the only music venue!
  • No decent bands on apart from very occasionally in The Town Hall.
  • The riverside would make an excellent musical arena and I don't know why they don't allow concerts there. Even between seasons. Everywhere else is pretty crap. No big bands play here. They are either up and coming or past it. Artists coming soon include Smokie, Bjorn Again and "Authentic" American Wrestling(no joke) including Earthquake, Typhoon and Jake the "crack adict, bastard son of his grandad" snake Roberts. Although Dr Browns is a good place to see local bands.
  • Must be Club, cant beat it!!!
  • The Town Hall has seen some great gigs as has The Arena.
  • The Crown - Only decent place that DJ's rock/indie stuff Dr Browns - Regularly has good live bands. Town Hall - Crap, the council wants to make the town into a city but we don't have a decent musical venue. Anyone really famous who has played the town hall lately has either done so before they made it big or when their career is falling to bits, it doesn't even hold that many.
  • TOWN HALL HAS SOME GOOD ACTS ON ...
  • The Intrepid Explorer, The Arena
  • bar ibiza,stockton.
  • purple onion
  • PLAYING AT THE CORNER HOUSE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT WAS A HIGHLIGHT FOR ME. IF YOU PERFORMED THERE, YOU FELT LIKE YOU WERE THIS CLOSE TO MAKIN IT! A GREAT VENUE. UNLIKE THE O.A.P CENTRE AT SOUTHBANK. THAT WAS SOMETHIN ELSE.
  • Purple Onion on a Wednesday. Most weeks are great depending on the crowd and the band! Cornerhouse is still rocking and the House is an up and coming venue. Bands to watch out for:- Elba, Confuscious Saint, Gilmore, Braincomb, Junior Elvis, Calneva and Elaine Palmer,
  • closest place is newcastle and the music festivals they hold travel for 2.00 quid and enjoy urself once a yaer u git..another on is held in boro somewhere but dont quiet know ...i'll leave u to find out...
  • Doc Browns
  • CornerHouse is normally good
  • The Levellers play the Town Hall about every 6 months. It's shit. Go to Leeds.
