Cringing Cult of Celebrity
- Recently, a local lads band was snapped up by Oasis's Big Brother records. The lad, Marcus Foley, is the guitarist in Sifter, who should have an album and single out later in the year (2001)
- Great site...just two little things. At the top of the page it says that Mildenhall is in Norfolk! and...sadly, Alexander Graham bell is generally considered to have invented the telephone...Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin...but he did indeed have a house in Barton Mills.
- Latest celeb is a girl called Lisa Lister who is in a band called Hepburn. She is the guitarist and the group had a number 8 hit this year (1999)with a song called I Quit. She lives just outside Mildenhall in Worlington but went to St.Mary's primary school , Riverside Middle school and Mildenhall Upper.
- Alexander Graham Bell (discoverer of penicillin) lived at nearby Barton Mills, Thomas hanmer (mayor of London).
