Pubs
- PROTESTANT SCUM
- TIGERS HEAD WELL I JUST RETURNED TO MILDENHALL AFTER MANY YEARS AND I MUST SAY THE TIGERS HEAD HAS CHANGED A LOT FOR THE BETTER STILL A LOT OF THE OLD LOCALS BUT NO TROUBLE
BUT THE BELL SEEMS TO HAVE GONE DOWNHILL.
ALSO VISITED JULIE AT THE MAIDS HEAD GREAT BEER AND LOCALS.
THEN DOWN THE ROAD A BIT TO STUARTS PLACE THE QUEENS ARMS GOOD BEER AND MUSIC
ALSO HAD A MEAL AND A FEW ALES AT DUDES FERRY WEST ROW GREAT FOOD ITS REALLY KICKING ON OUT THERE CROWDED WITH NICE PEOPLE
- the maids head is a great place to relax with Ray and Julie
- actually, as of 2002, the tigers head opposite the bell has been completely refurbished into one of the best nightspots in mildenhall. I've seen the old but give the new a shot, you wont be disapointed.
- The White Hart was the best - I worked there with Bill and Pearl after coming from The Ship with them.
- Quick up date of pubs as of March 2002
Half Moon Ok for cheap food little else
Globe ok every other Saturday when some entertainment on
Queens Arms quiet but best beer in town
Maids Head the in place at weekends if your under 21
Tigers Head best pub in town something on most weekends
Hotels
Bell ok for drink and food
White Hart Ok for drink and food
Riverside Quiet but nice location
Cheers happy drinkin !
- the globe
- Big screen in the Moon for the footie, the Bell on Friday nites.
- The Half Moon pub was my favorite Pub. I spent many nights drinking pints there, or getting a couple of 4-packs of Abbot Ale. Those were the days.
- Maid's Shed...no life, no fun, beer tastes second hand. Judes Ferry in nearby West Row by the river can't be beaten for a pint on a summer's day, though the Riverside's got character. The Bell is often frequented by staff from the Upper School and sometimes, their pupils wearing false beards and on stilts.
- Pubs are quite plentiful. The Happening places at the moment (May '96) seem to be the Bell and the White Hart in the High Street. Avoid the Tigers Head, almost opposite the above, unless you want a fight!
- Queens Arms.
