- maxwell art shop closed early 2008 and has not been replaced.
- John Maxfield art shop: 93 Broadway Mill Hill NW7 3TG Phone: 0181 959 3127 Fax: 0181 959 4297 - still in the family after what must be 50 years. Good selection of artists' materials. Owner is a fount of local knowledge. His dad published the definitive origami book in 1971 from their previous premises opposite the station, and Maxfield's "invented" dedicated origami paper. A wonderful shop - an oasis of calm in a busy high street.
