You can tell us more about Milton Keynes.
Cinemas
- The Escape is great as long as you get there on time. Or you could find yourself sitting apart due to the fact they cram every one in, instead of saying no seats available.
- The one in the Xscape is pretty good. Especially the delux screens!
- EasyCinema has now become Odeon!
- cineworld
- There's easy cinema if u wanna b a cheap skate but they dont show the up-to-date films so u hav 2 go 2 Cineworld in the upstairs of the Xscape which is on the other hand ridiculously overpriced unless u can make out that u need STUDENT prices!!
- Easycinema.com is BRILLIANT. The bogs smell a bit, but don't let that put you off. If you want to get ripped off there's always Cineworld.
- easyCinema - Stelios, who brings us easyJet, has leased The Point cinema complex from UCI. Films start at just 20pence a ticket! (the max we've paid so far is £2.10) Films are only a couple of weeks older than at Cineworld at the Xscape, but much MUCH cheaper!
- The point is admittedly cheaper than the other cinemas, but it smells funny and the seats have holes in them. I once lost half my backside down one of them, but if you're skint then go ahead.
- Cineworld looks better than the point but it is ridiculously expensive. From living near i know that you might as well go to the point. It is a hell of a lot cheaper with just as good quality.
- The Odeon, Leisureworld. I used to work there, it's a pretty sweet cinema.
- Butter popcorn to die for, hot nacho cheese, best films, smiling faces..........and so much cheaper than Xscape, its gotta be UCI at The Point for films in Milton Keynes
- The Point great cinema, also contains arcades.
- Either the Point (10 screens) or Xscape cineworld (16 screens).
- Xscape is by far the best. Comfy seating, good grub and brilliant choice. I don't care if it's slightly more expensive than that dive The Point.
- MK cinemas are crap, travel the fifteen(ish) miles to Northampton; way better.
- There are two cinemas - the point and cineworld. Cineworld has my vote, the seats are incredibly comfy. And never too hot so that you feel you have to get fresh air.
Quaser is good for the younger generation.
Bowling is really good here, there is also a glow in the dark one which is fun!
- The snozone is pretty damn good
- Tuesdays at the cineworld £3 for a normal ticket and £4.50 for a luxury ticket
- New 16 screen cinema is excellent - looks ace, of course food and drink's very expensive there but that's to be expected.
- The Point- Loud and distorted sound, dirty, cramped
Xscape- Good sound levels, clean spacious cinemas
- A new 16 screen cinema will be opening in June 2000 at the Snozone in Central Milton Keynes
- I would rather travel to northampton than go to the point. Its small, no doulble seats at the back and dingy.
- The cinema is cool, ther's an arcade and lovely food, ice cream...nachos...pic 'n' mix...chocalate. They have also made the front of the point pedestrianised with a taxi pick-up point. (So you aren't at risk of getting run over!)
- I'm hacked off with the point. I can never get tickets!
- Always gets the good films as soon as they are out, and has luvverly food like nachos, hotdogs, popcorn and sweets. It has 10 big screens and new comfy seats. Maybe a little expensive but worth it. Deep Pan Pizza restuarant and games arcade also in the Point.
- *9 Screen cinema in the middle of the shopping centre, designed as a pyramid, it's got huge red lights running down the sides. You can't miss it. Currently the parking for the cinema is a bit screwed as a new shopping area is being built. Suggest you park away from the cinema and walk a few minutes. * There's a ten-pin bowling place in the Leisure Plaza to the right of the train station.
- "The Point" - has ten screens.
- The Point Cinema in the city centre got it's name because it looks like a pink neon pyramid. It's not bad though and has quite a few screens. A new cinema is also going to be built soon in the same kind of area.
- The best thing about the Point is that they sell Butter Popcorn.
