roos leap good if your having a night out and want to be high on helium. best place by far was texs there disabled access has much inproved
- I know it gets some stick from a lot of folk but "Jays" is a good place to go... ohh wait, cheap food... 5 in 1 here we come.
- Nothing decent in Montrose, go somewhere else
- good choice of in expensive food not the mecanically recovered meat used i n other places
- George Hotel do lovely bar lunches and suppers at a reasonable price. Owner looks like Cruella De Ville though and can be a bit scary!
- Johnstons is really cheap and lovely
- the ship, you know who you are, cheap food and always a hangover cure
- Roo's Leap does a good takeaway for a good price, Indian Cottage is excellent and the usual Jays, 5in1 are no bad.
- 677982 LETS GO Mr. 5 in 1
- Hillside hotel. Superb, try the Scottish Chicken!
- Got to be the roos' lady's and gents, they do a mean steak, and there is loads of tidy young bits of arse work there too.... :) mj
- 5 in 1 classy wee joint and they even stay open later if you beg themm when your pissed!
- LITTLE MERMAID RULES!
- Roos Leap is ok if you're not in a hurry - the service is really slow and the waitresses scatty. Peking Palace has really gone downhill despite upping prices, much better off at Yauli or Shanghai. 5 in 1 still good even with their "lovely" assistant. Jays equally good for pizzas and kebabs.
- Youngsters nowadays don't have the pleasure of visiting Tommy Chinks after a night out.
Chinese meals that were floor to wok.
- da kin i have got hungry eyes tho
- The Shanghai meals have hairs in them, yuk
- The Park Hotel - you've got to be joking - they have the worst HEAD CHEF (AKA Andi Robb)!!!!!!!! in the world - doesn't like the most basics of food himself, let alone anything with a slight flavour - how on earth can someone like that make good food for other people. REMEMBER THE CHRISTMAS TURKEY SLICED RAW AT THE CHRISTMAS FUNCTION IN FRONT OF EVERYONE - THEN THE SAME KNIFE (NOT CLEANED IN BETWEEN) USED TO SLICE THE NEXT ONE WHICH WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER - What a joke. P.S. It is also probably one of the most expensive places to eat in Montrose.
- 5 in 1, at least their not like Jays and poison you!
- Sharkys (Belhaven) is superb value and you wont go away hungry. 16oz steak, chips and all the trimmings..£7.95. Roos has lost it. £45 for a lukewarm meal for 2 last wk. no good.
- Hillside Hotel does a great steak!!
- not much in the way of proper restaurants, the Peking does a good meal but has hiked up it's prices so the other chineses are better value Shanghai, Yauli. Roos Leap is ok if you can stand the over loud music and the strange tanned man.
- Roadrunners does good scoff at no bad prices. ps like candys they also buy their baguettes from johnstones
- Roos Leap is always a favourite, and the Peking Palace is quality.
- Roos leap is excellent but slow, hiller hotel also good, George hotel isnt too bad if a bit slow, Carlton, Corner House and Park hotels all pretty good. Again the Links Hotel is abysmal.
- The chip shops are good. and the chinese and pizza are also good
- johnstons the bakers has to be the best place in the toon for baguets. a country mile ahead of candies and roadrunners at a far better price. (p.s. did you know that candies buys its baguets from johnstons)
- 5 in 1 !
- Suprisingly for Montrose being a hole the kebab shops are not bad
- Alba catering fast food van doon at the harbour serves some fine fare and the crack's pretty good too
- The Little Mermaid....on the High Street. The Spaghetti Bolognaise is superb...the fish is fantastic and the cheese burgers are to die for. The sell fresh filter coffee....a bonus. and do a wicked bacon buttie.
- Hillside restaurant is worth a visit, just to see the little family that run it. An the foods good too.
- Why is the owner of World Of Food extremely abnoxious!
- Hillside restaurant is good for a meal, especially when the old man is cooking.
- The Corner House Hotel do really good food all day and the Braveheart steak is recommended but make sure your hungry when you go there,Alistar the owner is always ready to share a joke with you, clean one of course!!!
- New place "World of Food", worlds slowest service and the prices are SHOCKING!
I'll give it six months.
- 5in1 the best kebabs and curry in town well worth the 500 mile/10 hour drive. first thing we have when we arrive
- roadrunners is best talent good to
- johnstons pie shop or pie soup fae frosties
- The park hotel is probably the best place to eat out. Quality food, at a price you can afford.
The links is crap and expensive, the carlton is ok for food but is in dire need of renevation, the george hotel is a dump.
Candys and roadrunners are good for snacks and so on , but id say the park is the best
- The park hotel is by far and away the best place to eat in montrose. In fact it is to good for montrose.Particularly ANDI ROBB and his master chef food.
- Northern Vaults serves good food at reasonable prices.
- candy's and roadrunners both do quality sandwiches during the day.
- What about the 5-in-1??
- The legendary Roo's Leap. A mixture of American, Australian and Mexican fare.
- Roo's Leap= American + Australian stuff. Cellar= lots of seafood + frog's legs. Mare Rosa= quality chinese. Le Medi= good kebab takeaway. Roadrunner and Candy's= quality filled rolls to take away.
