- used to be the picture houe,the locarno,auction mart or the bond all of which mysteriously burnt down just as property developers became interested the lochside distillery may be the next to go
- Lochsidev distillery. The locals that want to demolish dint know what they are talking about. It is one of the only few landmarks left in the town.
- The Locarno, and the Ballhoose - Hogmanays past ...
- The Steeple, the Ballhouse, the Library, the Review building and the Job Centre are propably the most attractive buildings in the town.
