• Montrose is a town famous for its coastal erosion. Sand dredged from our harbour which could have been used to reinforce our beach was instead shipped to Aberdeen to reinforce their beach, so now there are bits of coastline falling off all over the place and some people are shiting it over the fear of potential flooding to the town.
• (29/5/2007)Chavs can be a pain.The men that come up to you and chat you up In pubs.Can be boring during the day.
• The neds!!
• Too many "orange" people walking about, don't they realise they've overdone the fake tan? Less is more an all that. Having to bump into the same people week after week especially when you don't like them.
• The Lochside Distillary and Somerfield
• Weedgies and gypos!

• p.c burns is an arsehole and he needs to get a life and stop hastling all the montrose cruisers
• Corsa boys down the beach - they're not great they're the new Novas! Older twats still going round and round the high street - you know who you are.
• Minkers! From the dirty old men, to the girls with the prams who do nothing else but shoplift from tesco - GET A JOB! Boy racers in their oh so cool Corsa's going round and round the beach. Don't they realise their cars are crap?
• in life are expensive
• The Glaxo hasn't closed yet and they haven't paid off enough of the prick's that work there.
• "I love myself" girls with they're crap sunglasses, orange tans and straightned hair driving they're shitty cars round and round all with the same blonde-on-dark hair. Too many average hairdressers, when will we get a decent one?
• The people that think they own the town, start fights at the weekends, make you feel like you shouldnt be there. The small minded people who think your business should be their businesds and they judge you for being who you want to be, but lets face it thats 1,000 times better than they could ever be.
• To many "Max Power" reading car dicks at the beach, Most of the(99.999%) have crappy motors anyway & who wants to listen to high volume Scoo-Ter when the drive past
• the lasses in montrose all have the same hair, at least here in arbroath we have some variety not just blond with dark underneath, suits some but others are just rank. you should sue for breach of copyright.
• Small town mentality. Same old twits!
• too close to Brechin, the Star, the Duke,the bloody ever changing roads!
• alot of diseases going around
• The people are friendly, well some are
• Shit pubs (you know them)
• the fact that there really is nothing to do except get pissed
• dog poo all over the place....too much unemployment...gadgie hanging about all over.
• A bit of a dead end town,and not much to do,but then i would'nt want to live anywhere else.
• The Highland Games. Who exactly was that chieftain!!
• That big Dundee bitch that does karaoke on Sunday in Busbys. Karaoke on Sunday in Busbys. Busbys. Boab Burness's second serve at tennis.
• Peoples attitudes, smallmindedness, other local towns.
• The demise of that long-standing Montrose institution where generations strutted their stuff (or hid on the sidelines), and often got married as a result, whether they wanted to or not - the Locarno Ballroom; Tony Fortunato was an entrepreneur with a heart of gold, and an arts lover to boot; I salute him. The "Loc" was, is, and always will be his contribution to Montrose. I am proud to have been a part of it. Are you listening Pam and Gerry?!
• The beach has been renamed seafront splash.
• Angus District Council really piss me off with some of their stupid policies and ideas, such as constantly changing the road layout, moving the public toilets around, putting silly swan statues all over the place and gratuitously interfering with the look of the town. The charm and character of Montrose has been destroyed over the last few years by these idiots so I urge anyone reading this not to vote SNP and to get rid of these people before they do any more damage.
• that old historic buildings are allowed to be demolished while unattractive new ones are put in their place.
• The road to Arbroath.
• Lack of specialist shops. No good clubs or cinimas. Boring Pubs. Dodgy 11pm curfew for pub entry.
