The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Motherwell.
Pubs
- Girdwoods! Rock pub on a Saturday too.
- Jack Daniels is about it in terms of places worth visiting.
- Brilliant pub - it's all been done up and looks very cool. The public bar is great for live music and the lounge is a really nice place for a function. Staff are good and friendly too. Looks like the beer garden will be perfect if we ever get any sun...
- services club for cheapness, starka for chicks, wetherspoons for both
- the miners is a no no filled with neds to the max and girls that would give a guys a run for there money
- Miners
- starka
- The Eagle's really cleaned it's act up and is gonny serve grub soon!
- The lounge at The Eagle Inn is good. Much better than the old codgers who drink in their bar.
- windwill (it used 2 b tullys)
- Mega bar looks great but not enough sellection of drink im affraid donno wats happinin up stairs think theve ran out of money or something
- The Bon-Accord, The Old Wine, Secrets, Strollers, Station Hotel, Stane Hotel, Lennons, Torbothie Quoiting Club, The Marble Club and the Brandy Bar.
These are all in Shotts. The 56 bus goes there.
- tavern, no question, jim, martin an stevie are the friendliest barmen in town, an jay is mental
- hunners, dont go to weatherspoons, ave heard whit they do to the drinks/food
Jack D's is good, Horseshoe, Railway Tavern
- Wotherspoons has arrived
- Starka
- motherwell malt!! the tavern's no bad
- starka, eletric bar, new centuary
- Full of drunks spending the las of their money then the spill out into the streets where they either get stabbed, arrested or run down by a car.
- FLOWER OF SCOTLAND,BRASS BUTTON
- Wetherspoons
- Wetherspoons, at last a cheap pub with no nuggets in site. Let them all go to Starka or the point.
- Tulleys and Jack Daniels.
- New Wetherspoons and Starka are the only two decent pubs don't waste your time trying to find others. The Electric Bar (Rangers Pub), Tullys (Celtic Pub).
- THE RAILWAY TAVERN, STARKA, THE WOOD CUTTER IF YOUR INTO THE OLDER CROWD
- the railway tavern on merry street is a class pub freindly staff and punters
good food asell served during the day to (get the steak sanwich)
- Fuckin millions filled with many Big Daves
- Aw the tavern, 4 generations, all getting steaming together
- electric bar and dalziel arms are the only pubs of merit, some nice old mans pubs. u shood really go to glasgow honest
- Majestic - YEAH RIGHT!!!!!!!
- avoid north motherwell
- Looking for a band for a Wedding, Party, Pub, Club etc? -- then look up
www.thebandmirage.co.uk
We are all local to the Motherwell Area, but are willing to travel for a gig.
- MOTHERWELL POINT! PLENTY OF DRINK FLOWING AND A GOOD CROWD! (GENEROUSLY PROVIDED BY ME AND MY MATES)
- Horse Shoe, £1.82 for a quality pint.
- HORSHOE BAR, YOU`LL FIND A BLOKE SURGICALLY ATTATCHED TO THE BAR CALLED GORDON.
- fir park club , the war office ( for blue noses only )
Burnses tavern is alright
- The best pub in M/well has to be the 'Warry'(MILTON VAULTS!!) during the fitba or marching season on a Saturday(if you're a blue-nose that is!!) Always good for a sing-song or a good band now and again (That'll be the Pride then!) People are friendly enough(if you're a blue-nose that is!!)So get yourselves along and have a few bevvies(if you're a blue-nose that is!!)
- Bar One is now called Bar Starka, it has customers at least one day a week, Infact they have you waiting for 2 hrs for a meal just to keep people in
- The brass button is a fine example of a themed pub. The theme of violence is made all the more realistic by the regulars who frequent this establishment. Most go to the pub wearing bullet proof vest, Kevlar Helmets and always have a fine selection of weaponry stuffed down their 'juke'.
- Bar Anus, Tully's if yir a celtic fan, Doon the lecki. bout it
- all old mans pubs or celtic/rangers pubvs. Or stab pubs
- Bon Accord, The Old Wine etc - never heard of them, not in Motherwell. Bar One is no longer, recently renamed Starka. The Puddler is now Tullys, unless you're a Celtic fan I wouldnt recommend it. The Town Hall is now The majestic nightclub, lovingly known as the Magic Stick - very fresh faced crowd.
- THE MUCKY DUCK IS NO LONGER - IT HAS BEEN TOTALLY DEMOLISHED AND IS NOW THE SITE FOR A BLOCK OF FLATS!!!!!
- Pubs in Motherwell worth a mention are the newly opened Motherwell point lounge and disco complex. Now on three floors with a lounge bar and two disco's on upper levels. Quite posh for motherwell. Over 21s only. The Town Hall's not too bad and has recently opened an Irish theme loung inside. Also opens to 2am.
- Other decent bars are:The Horseshoe Bar (next to the Point). The Pubbler (good food). The Electric bar (bit of a trek from the town centre though) Excellent food and good drink when the lounge is open. Also the newly opened Strathclyde Park Inn which is more at the Motherwell end of the Park than the Hamilton end. An excellent Innkeepers Fayre (Bass) pub/restaurant/hotel. Also the new lounge bar 'Wishes' in the park next to the new Strathclyde Park Fun Park (biggest ammusement park in Scotland).
- The best though without a doubt is 'Bar One'. A young persons pub. Excellent food to 8pm at night then things get going with soul etc downstairs and upstairs theres indie etc with dj's at weekends. Without doubt an excellent pub and perhaps the best in the district. (Was Phileas Phoggs until recently when went through major face lift and was taken over by consortium from Glasgow).
- The Bon-Accord, The Old Wine, Secrets, Strollers, Station Hotel, Stane Hotel, Lennons, Torbothie Quoiting Club, The Marble Club and the Brandy Bar.
- The Fir Park Club--Friday nights are grab a granny night-and thats the only decent thing about it--unless you know how to suck up to the commitee members who are not at all interested in their members but only in making a good few quid for themselves--- from a former member who was barred because his face didnt fit with the club president(Davie McKintyre).....
- The Burns Tavern and the Dalziell Arms. The first pubs to host their own WEB sites, also they are among the oldest pubs in Mtherwell, around 100 years old.
